Visited pacsun in Algonquin commons today for the first time my son and I for some school shopping. Now I see why I haven’t never visited there! The employees are so rude!!! They don’t greet you as you walk in they actually looked as if they didn’t want my son and I there! We’re African-American I don’t think I mentioned that and the employees were Caucasian younger women. Either they were just rude or didn’t want us there because of who we are. So my son started looking around and I noticed we were being watched. They never asked if we needed help with anything. My son saw a shirt he liked and we began looking for his size and I noticed one of the employees getting closer like she was fixing shirts. Mind u there were only a few people in there I’ll say about 5 people including my son and I. So what are you fixing?…! So I asked her, you all don’t greet your customers as they come into the store? She tells me “ well we’re not required to “ and I said really? So I say to her, I’ve worked in customer service most of my life and when you’re working in the customer service industry you always greet your customers to make them feel comfortable. It gives the customer a sense that you’re happy they’re there shopping with them! I’ll never go back there for sure! Well the pacsun in Algonquin commons, what an bad experience. Smh! So whoever the manager and owner is at this establishment really needs to work on the employees customer service skills. Read moreCame in around 7:30pm on Feb 13th. Two girls were working; folding clothes. Not a single customer is in the store. I walk in and I do not even get acknowledged by either girl. After about 10 minutes of no sort of acknowledgment, I asked one of the them if I could use the fitting room which she responds in a dismissive tone "yeah go ahead". Didn't even walk me to the fitting room (not that I need them to walk me to the fitting room, but just seemed like they didn't want to deal with a customer). The other girl then was ringing me out (still no acknowledgment besides me asking about the fitting room) I went up to check out with the two shirts I tried and told her I don't want one of them. She grabs the shirt and tosses it to a counter behind her which caused the shirt to fall off the counter. I noticed her co-worker smirk at that. I wasn't ever asked the typical "Did you find everything okay?" or "Do you have a phone number with us?" She didn't even fold my shirt properly when she put my shirt in the bag. One of the sleeves was still inside out. As she was finishing up, another customer walks in and she doesn't get acknowledged either. Read moreDaughter went in today to return shorts she no longer wanted. The “Manager” and I use that work loosely told her there was no way to look up her purchase since she did not have a receipt. My daughter then told the manager Emily that she was in a week ago and another worker was able to pull the receipt up for her and return the shorts. Emily the manager then sent a text to a group chat asking who returned the shorts from a week ago. The manager then told my daughter on the way out of the store “the shorts were only $20 and go to Plato’s to return them. I called the store after I looked up the return policy online and spoke to Emily. She did say they can look up a return through the rewards program and Emily did not offer that to my daughter. I told Emily that offering that type of return would gave deescalated the situation and she was not very professional telling my daughter to go to Plato’s. My daughter went back in and surprise surprise Emily was able to return the shorts.
