I will never go anywhere else again. My best friend lost her husband on August 12th. She purchased a pendant for his ashes but all she had was an old chain to put it on. I told her I would like to take her to purchase a nice chain for her pendant. After 2 weeks of a horrible experience with another jeweler in town I contacted Maty's. Not only was she extremely kind and willing to answer my questions over the phone but she informed me that the information I was given by the other jewelry shop was incorrect. The chain we had been looking at would not hold up long term. We decided we would go September 24th to pick out a chain. Unfortunately my friends mother passed away that very day and our trip got put on hold. Today, September 27th, I left work early and raced to Maty's before they closed. My friend requested a 30inch chain, the one that would have worked perfect was sold right before I got there. That left me one option. It was double my budget because we had budgeted for the chain the first jeweler had told us about. We had been talking while looking at the chains that were available. Maty remembered talking with me over the phone. She remembered me telling her about my previous experience and about my friend's circumstances. My face must have shown my disappointment when I saw the price of the chain. She promptly went to the register and gave me a 42% discount so I could walk out with this very special chain. I cried as soon as I got in my car, and the entire way to my sister's house, my sister cried when I told her what had happened at the shop. Pricing is extremely high. I had a very thin chain fixed here and not only did it take over a week to fix but it was $28 dollars for a simple reattachment. They warned me about my crosses hook about ready to bust off and I asked what they’d charge to fix it, another $28 dollars and 4 days to do? No way that’s not happening. Went over to a store just a few miles away, $5.12 after tax and it was fixed and they even cleaned my whole chain in less than 5 minutes.
