The Wonder Lab — Local services in Durham

I absolutely love WonderLab!! I have always had an enjoyable experience there. It’s always super clean, the staff is always friendly, and the environment is warm and cozy. But I did want to share my experience on 7/22/24. Per usual, we were having a pleasant time, but there was a man there with his grandchild who seemed to be sick. He was constantly blowing his nose every minute… literally! And he was also picking his nose without tissue. He would then go about touching the surfaces and toys that the children were touching and that made me uncomfortable. I did speak with a staff member, and informed her that we would be leaving and not completing our scheduled playtime because of this. She did offer an apology and was very polite. I just wish they could have offered some type of pass to come back another day and get the 30 mins that we lost. However, this would not discourage me from visiting WonderLab again. I have been numerous times and it has always been amazing.

It’s a nice playroom and I would come back to let my son play in the playroom but I would never have a birthday party here again. They rushed me through the party, didn’t give much time at all to set up and I felt as though I didn’t get enough time to actually enjoy my son’s 1st birthday. The party ended at 3:30 and we had to be out at 3:30, so having to clean up shortened the party even more. They put you on a set schedule and I felt stressed the whole time to stay on schedule. The staff kicked us out of the party room 30 min early to clean up for the next party and took my decorations down before I even got pictures :/ and they said they wouldn’t touch my decorations.

I think this would be a decent place to have a party if I wasn’t so rushed and had more time before and after to set...

Came here with my family yesterday and had an AMAZING time! This place is the perfect place to bring your kiddos (6mo-6years). Super clean, perfectly contained but allowing your kids to move about freely and safely. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and you can really tell the owners put their heart into this place. They thought of everything with extra items should you have forgotten something, to tea and coffee for the adults and even space for the kids to eat a snack or lunch during the day while they are there. This is a great STEM play space and learning center and has a great space for birthday parties!!! Do yourself a favor and check them out!!!!! We will definitely be back and look forward to buying a membership package...
