Went to the VA and decided to try a local buffet, and got a buffet to go..90% of my food was nasty. I was very tempted to take it back. Also the lady that puts food on the bar is VERY disrespectful, she got me in the ankle with her cart, and no "I'm sorry" or anything she just kept going and plus I was getting something and turned around and was literally pinned between her cart and the bar and she did not care at all that I was pinned, and I just about fell over when I turned around because I didn't expect being pinned in like that. She really needs to be more respectful instead of plowing people over. I seen someone getting broccoli and again she was being disrespectful by taking the pan that was currently being used by a customer and didn't even wait til they were done. They need to have a chat with that lady cause if she hates her job that much.....The calamari was like chewing on a tire, the egg rolls and spring rolls had a god awful taste and I could not pin point it. The scallion chicken was a mess, taste and look wise, the sesame chicken did not a bit taste like it, it tasted more like breaded chicken that you buy from the frozen section at your grocery store with sesame seeds and oil on it. The coconut shrimp tasted like someone put a ton of mustard in it, yes mustard. I could go on about everything I got. The only thing that wasn't half bad was the deep fried shrimp that they get in a bag that's precooked and they have nothing to do with that, all you do is put it in the deep fryer. Plus I paid $15 when it said 1.5lbs @5.49 a pound. How does that come to $15?? Outside building exterior is the only thing nice about this place....

Giving only 3 stars because of staff behavior. All our family 2 adults and 3 kids went to eat dinner today and told the waitress that one of my 7 year old kid don’t eat any food and see if we don’t get charged for him and we can pay 3 adults and one kid. But he apparently ate one cookie and I asked the service person one lady since he ate only one cookie do you still charge and that person talk to another person and told something to cashier. And the guy cashier coming to us telling straight we have seen your kid ate many items and is all “video recorded”. The moment I see this is not a restaurant to revisit. Doctor himself was not finding cause why my son won’t eat any food except only 3 items of home food and this guy was saying he ate many food items as if I am telling something lie and trying to cheat them for one kid meal price. Then I have challenged him to show the video if he ate then I will pay double the total price and he is changing the words that another lady told he ate. If he would have told us that we have to charge if he eats one cookie I would not have mind to pay but the above behavior made me to write this review. As you see other reviews the food is good for few items and few of them are not good. Trash is next to food area. I was trying to scoop the ice cream and it is like frozen not able to scoop. Sushi is just there and I don’t see anyone...

Ok food but horrible service. I went there with my whole family on a weekend. Several lids of their dim sum steam pots were missing the handles. I had to lift the edge of the lid, but my wrist was still burned by the hot steam. I didn’t complain though. At the moment, a woman came out of the kitchen. She was obviously one of the workers there. She rushed to me and said:” Are you burned? It’s all because you don’t know how to lift the lid properly!” I responded:” Are you saying it’s my mistake?? It’s the responsibility of your restaurant to use lids in good conditions!” But she still kept blaming me. It’s the most ridiculous situation I have ever experienced.

When we were arguing about this, in Chinese, another customer was cautiously and awkwardly lifting a lid too, just like what I did a minute ago. That woman didn’t dare to correct his move. Please allow me to guess why: this customer is a tall, strong, white man, and I am a slim woman speaking Chinese. Now I wonder if I spoke English loud at the time, would she still blame me like that?

We later talked to the receptionists of the restaurant. It didn’t help either. They said the manager was not there, and nobody wanted to talk to that woman.

That was the first and the last time we went to that restaurant. If you decide to go there, be careful about the broken lids and the rude people...

The food was ok. The sweet and sour chicken was fresh, along with the fruit/salad bar. My husband said the clams were decent, not fishy or tough. The fried shrimp was good but the steamed shrimp was mush. The clear soup was only lukewarm and fried noodles were stale. We had a couple of chicken dishes that had maybe had sat too long on the buffet. My husb The restaurant itself could use a good updating. 18.00 for a buffet is a little pricey considering there are other Asian buffets in Durham for 3 dollars less and so many more options. I know everything has gotten more expensive but this place used to have the best crab legs for cheap years ago and so many more options. We just about ran out of water as our server was eating at an adjacent booth while we were eating.

This is a nice sized Chinese buffet with a noodle bar, hibachi, sushi as well as the traditional Chinese staples. It did lack general tso chicken and black pepper chicken. The service was good and plates did not stay on our table. The hibachi grill was good. I only got vegetables at the grill so I cannot speak for the meats. The fried shrimp was different as it had butterfly and shrimp with the hull attached mixed together. So it was fried and by the time you removed the shell there was no shrimp. The fried chicken wings had a very good taste. The salmon had a very strong fishy taste but looked so appetizing. Overall most of the food I had was to my liking. The service was excellent and my cup never got empty. I would return if I am in the area.

Needed a quick lunch and this was a close by option. Large inside seating no outside seating that I could tell on our visit. The buffet style food was ok nothing special but it was clean and everything in the restaurant was well cared for. The staff were ok and at the end of the day the cost wasn’t bad. Is it something I’d go again for probably not but one time maybe here and there sure. Group favorites desserts, the lomein, and generals chicken. Cheers!!!
