I had an appointment for fingerprinting, scheduled online, which I was on time for. They were busy so I handed the her my paperwork then took a seat inside the bank at the door because they were no way ready. Every time I peeked in & asked were they ready, someone would state āitās still coming upā. Finally I just went back & stood there to wait & while waiting, I was asking the lady next to me why they had to wait so long for their system (of course Iām thinking it would already be up & ready for appointments & my sugar is getting looow). The lady next to me started talking & trying to explain which I clearly understoodā¦.when the tall blonde __ help another customer on the far end of the counter, Cāing her way between A & B, turned & started flailing her hands & screaming across the room at me, attempting to sarcastically scream the responses that the lady I was TRULY talking to, was also trying to respond, like sheās talking to an idiot. I informed her all that was unnecessary & this lady is & has fully responded to my question. So she proceeded her very dominant & RACIST rant, āWell Iām the one thatās got to do your prints.ā Ok but that doesnāt mean you have the right to be screaming across the room, injecting yourself into a conversation not directed to you & with a seriously dominant & degrading attitude. So she screams, matter of fact you can just reschedule. So I said & why do I need to reschedule. I will not reschedule. About that time First Citizens sent a representative to peek in to see what was going on, & I was so thankful for a witness. I explained what was happening & let her know that for some reason this UPS person wants a fight & I donāt have one for her. I just need my fingerprints done so I can get home. She lied & said that I had screamed at her but I couldnāt, my voice was already gone & it was a strain to try to talk. She was sooo mad she left with purse & car keys. But why? I was shocked when a human being immediately picked up the phone and answered my question with clarity. Businesses don't seem to have a person working the phones anymore. If you get a robot, you don't get your answer. If you get a person, you still frequently don't get your answer. It turns out that the UPS store is in part of a bank building, so it's easy to drive by and miss the sign. Two days after Christmas, it wasn't surprising that people were pouring in with packages to send. What did surprise me was the way the three competent women at the counter addressed each customer's needs with patience and expertise, regardless of what level of preparation they came with for using digital tools to finish the task. Some were still thumbing through their emails for shipping info, others were unaware that mailing something could involve a cell phone or computer at all. I'm still wondering how someone managed to answer the phone, given the steady flow of packages to process. And I had a barcode for them to scan with a label already made and ready to go. I told her what they had told me on the phone; that the company wanted a label on 3 sides of the box. And she rudely said "well we only print off one. And that should be enough" then took my item and my box. What if she breaks my item or losses it. The company said they aren't reliable for loss or damaged property during shipping. And I paid a lot of money for it. So I do not appreciate her treating my package like that.
