
I got my hair colored here by Emily on Friday. Emily was very kind and did ask a lot of questions about my hair before and during the process. I knew as this was the first time Emily had done my hair, that i shouldn't have high expectations for the color, and that over time we could continue to tweak the formula to get the color i wanted.
However, a couple days after the appointment i found that a chunk of my hair had been fried off. I was not told about this during my appointment. I reached out to Emily for a refund and initially she did not respond to my message. I called the salon to speak to someone in charge and the woman who answered the phone said she was the manager and she would contact Emily regarding the situation. Emily replied to my text and apologized for my hair not turning out how i wanted with the color but she completely avoided and did not acknowledge the chunk of missing hair.
I texted Emily again today about her lack of accountability for melting off a chunk of my hair. I called shortly after to speak to the manager and the person who answered the phone said there was no manager?
Emily texted me back saying that she told me about the breakage (she did not). She also said i failed to tell her about my chemical history, which i didnt. I was incredibly thorough when i told her about what had been done to my hair previously.
She had told me she used 10v but that doesn't make sense with the area that was melted off. It was one of the last sections on my head. If that part melted off, tell me why my whole head of hair didnt melt off being left on for longer than that?
I tried texting her back but she blocked me.
This whole situation with my hair being melted off is incredibly unprofessional. Emily was very nice during the appointment, but her failing to take responsibility for the missing hair is very disappointing. It will take YEARS for my hair to recover and grow back.
