Today, 8/24/25, it came to my attention through research that "employers are required to provide a workplace free from recognized hazards, including ergonomic hazards, under the General Duty Clause enforced by SC OSHA. This means employers must take steps to prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) caused by factors like repetitive motion and heavy lifting, even without a specific standard for ergonomics." To safeguard against employee injury, I would encourage Waffle House to design tasks that fit the employee, include streching exercises in the work day for each employee, and provide free msssages monthly.
Today, on Saturday morning, 8/16/2025, I saw the manager struggle a bit due to a "bum knee." Waffle House corporation should provide a chair she can sit on instead of making her stand to alleviate her suffering. A Beisto Knee Walker Scooter Pad Cover Leg Cart Rolle could work, too!
One way to solve this problem is to have the "boss" wear a different uniform so she stands out, like they do in other restaurants. To the left of the TV screen monitoring the Waffle House environment is a picture of a child wearing a Waffle House hat, but in the background is a picture of an elderly lady in a black dress, WHITE shirt, ladies tie, with a WHITE HAT. Go Goldilocks! Just do it!!!
This Sunday morning, on 6/23/2024 I experienced some events that continue to make this Waffle House the best in our country. First, I overheard a cook, at the end cooking the bacon, that he was not pleased with the quality of bacon that he just encountered in the refrigerator. He implied that it was not up to the high Waffle House standards he normally observes. He should be commended by management for his desire to provide the customer food of the highest quality. Another waitress, who either goes by Mac or Soft, provided a guest use of a phone when he did not have one, and from what I recall, it was an emergency situation. Her willingness to go above and beyond the normal call of duty should be recognized. She also should be recognized for her focus. A customer was kidding her, but she recognized that her first and utmost priority was for two customers who had not ordered their food. She tactfully, with kindness, told that customer to wait while she took the order from those two customers. While I highlighted these two individuals, I came away impressed on how everyone continues to work as a team to serve the customer!
Goldilocks is back!!🙂🙂🙂 Good to see that she is feeling better and is able to lead the team again, when asked. Makes me wonder if porridge is now on the menu? All I can do is ask. The worst they can say is no. All hail to the Chief!!! (Chief of Operations) 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
The last contact I received i was asked what changed. Well, first of all, since the remodel and being closed for three weeks, like a fine wine, the girls are prettier than they were before! Dimples, Fire 'n Ice, Smiley, Breathtaking, Ms. Perfect continue to glow ever brighter.
Chief continues to manage things smoothly. Disabled have closer proximity to door, new floor for workers, new ceiling, exterior spray washed, and so on. The place is better than ever!
he girls are still doing an excellent job. Dimples even remembered to bring me that spicy Waffle House sauce today without asking. Now that's true customer service!
And when they are not too busy, the girls always make sure my iced tea is freshly brewed! My regularity there is rewarded, and I'm grateful.
All hail to the Chief!!! (Chief of Operations) 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
I've trained the girls well. Most, if not all, are aware of exactly what I want and how I want it when I go in there. They all do a fantastic job....
Read more0/10 experience as my waitress unfortunately was just rude. I was a server for many years so I know how it is. But it's not that hard to be polite. I walked in with my daughter and said "there's two of us" to the server who greeted us. She may have been hearing impaired or something and that's fine, but if you are not sure what someone has said, just ask. This is common sense. She hands me a menu and has me order at the front which was odd to me and I didn't really want to stand there holding my daughter and feel rushed to order when I just walked in the building but okay. I do it anyways as to not be difficult, I ask if I can hold on to the menu obviously meaning I may want more things since she has rushed us, and then soon after we have a seat at a table as people dining in would do, She drops a check anyways. Soon after she plops some bags of food on our table and I am clearly confused. All I say is "um...I didn't know it would be togo?" She says "you said togo". I obviously knew I had not asked for anything to go. I had wanted to sit and have waffles (her favorite) with my daughter , not shuffle out the door with her and large bags of food. All I say is well no I actually never said that but I guess we'll leave then. You don't argue with a customer or accuse them of saying things without even a "I thought" infront of it. She didn't seem to care at all however the other staff were friendly. So we did leave since I'm not going to sit there and open containers my entire meal. She also said something about they gave us extra grits but didn't charge us. Which was weird because no they didn't for one, and also I would hope they wouldn't charge us for something we didn't order. Ironically, the order was also wrong and missing a waffle. Unsurprisingly, we are already feeling sick after eating it. Not all waffle houses are this bad, would not return. Waste of...
Read moreThis is by far the worst waffle House I have ever come across. It amazes me how they can have any stars at all and I am only giving one because I have to give something in order to make this review. Now my husband says every time he goes to this waffle House it is the last time he'll ever go to it because he's so disgusted and fed up with the service. For the past year alone every time he tries to call to place an order nobody answers the phone, EVER!!! They're excuse when he gets there is that they are busy and can't always answer the phone. Busy? You call two people and the rest of the employees busy?? And then there are the times where they can't make something because the cook hasn't gotten there yet.. so you relieve a third shift cook before the first shift cook gets there? This morning was my husband's breaking point. Got up and decided to go get a waffle nobody there but again a few people. One of the waitresses said he would have to wait for the cook to get there for him to place his order 🙄 so you can't pour batter into a waffle maker close the lid open the lid take the waffle out put it on a plate and serve it to the customer???? If you can't make something as simple as a waffle how are you serving anything else?? All I hear is excuses and laziness. I told my husband he needs to wash his hands clean of this waffle House because it is by far the worst and has been practically since we livved here. It's bad enough their prices have gone up but quantity has gone down. Do y'all own a phone? Because not once in the past year have you been able to answer it and even worse when you try to call any kind of management or corporate they don't answer the phone either. SMH for me this place gets no stars and two thumbs down. You are by far the worst waffle House I have ever...
