Yesterday I was in Easley on business. I was in the mood for bar-be-que. Based of the reviews on Google Maps I decided I would give Three Little Pigs a chance to live up to their reputation. I ask for BBQ brisket. I was told that brisket was only available on Fridays. I ask for pulled pork, but I was informed that the BBQ pork was chopped. I should have walked out at that moment, but for some reason I ordered the chopped pork. I was really hopping that the customer reviews would prove my skepticism wrong. After tasting the dry, bland BBQ pulled pork I could have kicked myself for not following my instinct and walking out without ordering. When is chopped BBQ more tasty and moist than sliced or pulled pork BBQ? Average BBQ isn’t worth the time and money. I might as well have went to a franchise restaurant. Really good BBQ does not need to be blue ribbon quality to be worth buying. But bland and dry BBQ isn’t worth the price. Sorry, Three Little Pigs you only get one chance to make a good first impression. Incidentally, I saw only about three other customers in the restaurant. Local folks know best. The old saying that “eat at a restaurants that draws the biggest...
Read moreFirst time here. Was very surprised that a BBQ joint didn’t have any beef products. I’m guessing that’s their thing though. I ordered the pork plate (ribs and chopped pork). The chopped pork was very good. It wasn’t dry and had good flavor. I like having some of the bark in my pork but this wasn’t bad at all. The ribs were unfortunately not good. They were very much over cooked. Contrary to popular opinion, rib meat isn’t supposed to fall off the bone. The ribs are very small boned too so there isn’t much meat on them. I had the coleslaw and it wasn’t bad but it’s the first time I’ve had it made with sweet pickles. The baked beans were just out of a can and nothing special.
If I wanted chopped pork I would go back again but I believe there are better options with more of a...
