Let me start off by saying this...For several years, we ate at this restaurant every single Sunday after church. It was also not uncommon for us to eat there one other time throughout the week or at least grab dinner through the take out room. Roughly 3 years ago around Covid time, we went in to eat and when we got our bill, it was grossly higher. I noticed that there was a charge on the bill to add cheese and bacon on a salad. One would not consider that to be inappropriate except for the fact that the charge was just under $3 and on top of that the amount that was given was embarassing at best. After that day, I told my wife that we would not be returning to eat there. In the last 3 years, we literally went one time until tonight. My wife wanted to go and so we went with some friends. The food was ok at best as a whole. The chicken was not good at all and then I had a part to the drink machine turn up in my drink that I was drinking. Not the end of the world but a little gross nonetheless. On top of it, I found it rather inappropriate to have the manager kind of chuckle about it. I'm not that unreasonable to think that it couldn't happen by accident, but it's definitely not something to laugh about. So, when we went to check out, the manager started asking us what drinks we each had. I didn't think much about it until she said, well, your bill went up because your server didn't put the drinks on your bill. I hadn't looked at the bill at all because we were chatting away with friends. After thinking about it, I found it pretty ridiculous that the check was micro-managed to that extent after it was given to us and especially in light of the fact that there was something in my drink. The owners son came out and made a big deal about the fact that if the servers didn't put the drinks on the bills, he would lose all kinds of money. Not once did he say anything or apolagize that there was something in my drink. On top of it, he got very angry and walked off when I was trying to communicate with him. Our family spent at least $100 in their restaurant every single week for numerous years...that's over 5K a year which would have been over 15K over the last 3 years that we haven't been in their restaurant. I guess the 2.79 for cheese and bacon is worth it? Here's what I do know...."Pigs get fat and HOGS GET SLAUGHTERED". Long story short is that they are charging a ridulous amout of money on so many things....upcharge on a caesar salad is nearly $5 (that's even to change from a sald that's included to a caesar salad), to load a bake potato is 2.79, add cheese and bacon to a salad is 2.79 and they are also charging 3.5% if you don't pay cash. All of that is grossly excessive but it is the way the owners son treated us this evening that will ensure that we never come to this restaurant again. (He said he didn't know who we are but I can assure you that his mother knows who we are when she sees us). Our recommendation is to go to the many other places here in Easley that are much more reasonable and will treat you much better and not rob you blind on excessive charges.

Update for 04/15/2023 We tried this restaurant again after a long break from it. For the price you pay, the food was ok. I had the crab cakes. Nothing to complain about but nothing to brag about either. My husband did not like any of his food: fried shrimp, salad, fish, and baked potato. Salad had mostly lettuce without much of anything else. The baked potato according to him was tasteless and the shrimp were overcooked. I did enjoy the hush puppies and my grandson enjoyed watching the fish in the aquariums. ------------------------------- My husband and I have dined at this restaurant several times and had different experiences each time. The wait staff and owner/manager that is always there have been extremely nice and overly helpful. The first time we ate there the food was great. The second time it was awful and promised we would never go back. Well, it wasn't our choice the third time. A group of our friends decided they wanted to go there after we saw a movie. There were eight of us and we had made reservations. From the time we sat down till the time we got our food was over 1 hr and 15 mins. I personally didn't realize that because I was enjoying the conversations. I ordered the broiled tilapia and steamed veggies. My food tasted delicious and my husband shared it with me and liked it as well. However, some of the other people commented that their food was too cold to eat. The cheese and butter on their potato weren't even melted. Others were completely satisfied except for the long wait.

There was a rather large crowd but no wait to be greeted and seated. Our waitress was busier than a one-armed paper hanger but still provided cheerful and efficient service. This location is far better than their Simpsonville one. It is cleaner, seems larger, and had lots of people working, which is a nice change these days! The food was better, too. Everything came out quickly and was piping hot, not a bit of greasiness and was delicious. I had the clam strips regular size plate ( which is huge, honestly) a baked potato and slaw. All was very good. I couldn't eat it all. In the photo is a little less than half of my meal! Enough for lunch tomorrow. My hubs had the Sunday special of Flounder and baby shrimp. A BIG portion of fried shrimp topped with 2 large flounder fillets. Again, it was a huge serving, and it was fresh and hot and well fried, not greasy or overcooked. The hush puppies brought to our table at the start were very good, as well. Fresh and hot. At the other location we had food that was greasy and not super hot. The hush puppies in Simpsonville we're barely warm, greasy and overcooked. Inedible. Not here though. The employees were all very nice, smiling and working very hard. We had no desire to return to the Simpsonville location again but I'm glad we gave this location a try since moving to the Easley area. We will go back. The food is a good value for the price.

I went tonight with a small group for a birthday get-together . Me personally speaking my chicken was way over cooked tasteless and dry i started coughing at the table . There wasnt one thing fancy or nice about this place . I understand that to keep food cost down you have to cut corners . The salad wasnt appetizing in the least . I tried to eat as healthy as i could i asked for plain Cinnamon for my baked sweetpotato . And it was sugar and Cinnamon mixed. I will say that was the best cooked sweetpotato i have ever eaten i brought my.on non sugar sweetner and it was so good witbout it the highlight of my meal . The place needs a total renovation and redecorating . Our watress was pleasent but at the end of our meal . My friend had a disagreement on the price she was charged with the watress. Instead of getting the manager she got into an argument with my friend on the restaurant floor and it caused a scene. NOT GOOD. That should never have happened. Im not picking sides at all but there are much better ways for that situation to be handled. I have owned a restaurant in the past and have learned from my on mistakes. Everything there needs to be revamped .i saw a lot of waste that is costlyfor example a large bowl of hushpuppies which looked good but werent eaten were brought to each table i was dieting and one ove mt friends eat healthy like me . they should be only up on request .or 2 with a meal. They are brought to a table people fill up on them wind up taking half of there food home. The idea is to sell you food not give it away . Bowls of lemons were brought to the table which are costly. There was no effort to bus the tables after we were done eat as I was leaving many booths and were empty with leftovers and dirty plates and dishes bad, bad ,bad . I bet with some tweeking you could turn this place around and have a money making really good desirable ...
