My experiences here have been mostly positive, both buying and consigning. However, I've had one or two trips that have left a bad taste in my mouth, hence the 3 star review. Honestly, my favorite thing about this particular store is that they pay cash for my items up front. I usually go in with 15-20 clothing items and walk out with $20-30 dollars. Given the hassle of yard sales, or returning to stores to pick up money or unsold items, I count this as a win. Since they are paying upfront, they do tend to be a tad pickier than some other places I've consigned. I have also found it helpful to call the day I am planning to go over to make sure they are accepting the sizes and items I am planning to consign. As far as the items offered for sale, I am usually able to find a few good items for my kids. Shirts are usually not competitive price-wise with sale prices on new items, but pants and outerwear are usually a little cheaper than what I can buy new, even on clearance. My only issue is the lack of selection in the boys' sizes, but I'm told boys tend to destroy clothing, so it may be a supply issue. As I said before, most of my experiences have been positive, but I did have one or two that nearly kept me from returning. The worst was back in the spring, I had called ahead to make sure they were accepting items in the sizes I was consigning. I was told they were, so I made the trip the same day. The young ladies working were more interested in socializing than looking through my items. They rejected every single thing, while saying they would take certain items if they had room at a later date. I found this confusing, as I was told they were taking those sizes just a few hours earlier. I took everything to my second-choice store, and had most items not only accepted, but sold within my 60 day contract. This was the only time I ever had issues with items being accepted; it was also the only time I went on a weekend. I would suggest consigning early in the day on a weekday. All in all, I've found Little Bo-Tique to be a worthwhile experience, both as a...
Read moreUPDATE: Now that vaccines are available for both adults and kids, my partner and I have been back several times so I wanted to update my review. Of course, disappointed with how they handled shopping during global pandemic, I do appreciate their selection of both clothes and toys. I also appreciate their IG stories and the ability to purchase things through IG. Giving 4 out of 5 stars only because I'm still a little sad about how they handled things previously, but overall a nice place to buy second hand.
ORIGINAL POST: Normally one of our go to places for purchasing clothing and toys for our little one, but after a trip today with poor COVID practices, we will not be shopping here - at least for the time being. Whatever your personal beliefs are, it's pretty easy to enforce a simple mask rule to be respectful to everyone. They do have plexiglass at the register and hand sanitizer, but that seems to prioritize protecting the employees over the shoppers. As parents of a child in the high risk category, we're disappointed when we come across businesses we've loved supporting in the past not require people inside their store to...
Read moreFrienly employees and clean, small store that is well stocked. I have enjoyed shopping here for my 4 children for over 6 years now and have been disappointed when trying to consign. As a shopper, things are great, but consigning is difficult. I only take them a small bag of the clothes my kids either never wore or only wore a few times within the year, washed and ready to sell. I don't hold onto clothes. They weren't interested in buying most of my clothes "because we only purchase items under three years old". The items I wanted to consign had been purchased from them that same year (and even a month previous in one case). How were they "in style" a couple of months ago and now not? I understand that they have little space to work with and have to be picky. Just frustrating and discouraging since I usually love to support and shop at...
