Called and started the process back in early December, I asked for the housing program and dv classes. I would follow up weekly to see my spot in the programs, but I would just get the â oh you in the waiting listâ response, which I understand. Now I called and spoke with Fernanda from housing who just told me the waiting list has been closed since January. But wait, didnât I sign up in December ? How was it closed without me knowing, when I would call weekly to ask these people. Sounds odd to me. It was my first time reaching out for help but I got nothing but â you in a closed waiting listâ with no chance in hell to get in. And you need to close yourself in a room with no distractions or we canât help you; I donât know. Maybe theyâll see this and reach out to...

I could hardly imagine what this would be like if I was actually a battered woman. Could somebody who works there try to call your own phone system? Itâs seriously flawed. This happened...
