Stopped at Cost Cutters. Amanda cut and highlighted my hair. I appreciate them taking appointments ahead of time. However, when I got home and styled my own hair, I noticed that the highlights did not take and there were some obvious chunks cut out of my hair. When I went back the second time, Amanda did a good job at correcting the haircut. However, the toner that I was charged $20 to correct the original highlights, did not create the desired and requested effects. I really like Amanda so this is not personal. I didn't appreciate the subsequent disagreement about how my hair was cut and highlighted as well as the pricing aspect. This visit was a first-time experience for me at this location. I was at the Jewel-Osco store. Their customer service was outstanding. Most of us do not care for the vulnerable feelings associated with dealing with the unknown. I entered to ask questions about their service and was greeted with kind words and smiles. I like to go to Kennedy Square to shop. I go to Jewel once a week to get the deals I find in the weekly ad. I then go to The Dollar Tree. Although, I am a little tiffed that they raised all the prices from $1 to $1.25. That really is a sizeable difference. It's still cheaper than almost everyone else.
