WOW!!
My boyfriend and I celebrated a be-lated Valentine's Day and chose to come here. I found it more relaxing than I could have imagined. I tend to be an overly stressed person and I felt weight roll off of my shoulders just by walking in through the front door. It's dark and calming, salt lamps around the front desk and the owner speaking sweetly and softly to us as we checked in. I muttered to myself "I should work HERE". We filled out a quick information sheet regarding our health and reason for choosing Salt Therapy Grotto and then we were handed cloth slips to put over our feet/shoes. Walking in, you can feel the crumbly salt move underneath each step. The Moon backdrop straight ahead, twinkling stars above you and a cave enclosing you. Zero gravity chairs and a soft blanket are there for your comfort. At first, I didn't feel anything other than calm with the soft music playing and the smell of salt in the air but after some time, I felt the salt on my skin and felt it in my chest, where I hold all of my stress. My chest and heart started to hurt but not in a painful way, in a way that I knew my body was slowly releasing tension. More time passed and I fell asleep... it was THAT calming for me. It felt so refreshing to finally de-stress and de-toxify. Even hours later, the calm that my body and mind felt, stayed with me. Little annoyances didn't affect me as badly as they would have normally. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who struggles with stress and anxiety on a day to day basis. It is an...
Read moreI’m so partial. I wanna love it but I didn’t. I brought my son in yesterday and felt like it just didn’t work for us like it says. Was I relaxed sure, but throw a bunch of music and banging toys in the kids room totally doesn’t give off the zen vibes. Music was just three light airy notes repeated. Too many toys in the kids room made it feel like I needed to go mom mode in there and clean. Didn’t seem to have been fully cleaned up and we arrived at opening (10am) as there was salt all over most of the toys and especially the carpet in the tent. The biggest negative is a left feeling my nose was far more clogged and my son got a bad bloody nose after being in there for 30 mins which tells me it was too dry. He’s only 2.5 and this was one wipe… we had to use 3 to clean it. It was kind of warm in there as well but it cooled down a touch around 10:30. While staff was super sweet, We don’t feel much better. I honestly feel no benefits and the bloody nose was alarming as this never happens to him (he doesn’t know how to pick...
Read moreI really enjoyed the sauna here. It was larger than the last sauna I had been to, very spacious and comfortable. There was even enough room for me to lay down which sometimes I have to do in a sauna. The flooring is an interesting rustic rock pattern. They set the ambience with low lighting candles and a salt light. The room that the sauna is housed in is spacious. There's plenty of room for you to turn around, walk around, change your clothes and become comfortable. The owner and her employees are very friendly and attentive. I look forward to indulging in some of the other products that they offer. I can't wait for my first salt cave session!! They even have packages. So if you go there, talk to the owner or the employees about the packages they offer. They were very quick to let me know about the specials, the offers, and what you can save versus buying a single session. Their website is pretty nice. There's a lot of photos and information on there. But the staff and the owner are the...
