Extra Supermarket — Local services in East Orange

Be careful with expired foods. Today is the second time that I've seen expired foods on their shelves. Once there was an issue with expired mayonnaise. Today I went to buy corn muffins, and they had about 20-30 packs of corn muffins, the expiration date? 09/11/20, and we are in March 2021. All of them expired and hard as a rock. I took one pack and brought it to the guy at the customer service register who completely dismissed me.

Upset, I went to the state website to file a formal complaint, and they were asking about UPC, names and brands and since I didn't bother to take any picture. I decided to let it go. They are frequented by a lot of older immigrants ladies who don't know any better, and don't know how to look out for themselves.

I understand that things can go unnoticed, but if I bring something to your attention, you need to make it right and call someone to pull them of the shelves. The guy at the customer service desk was rude and dismissive when I brought it to his attention.

The workers are very nasty and mean it’s like only one nice worker there, the manager is also very rude. I asked for help when I lost something of mine and see if I could check the camera, he had a freaking attitude with me and handed me $5?? Like how was $5 was gonna help my case, honestly this store has a lot of ego for a place that constantly has a leaking roof and roaches everywhere. I suggest that you guys should go to the other extra not gonna lie. This is very bad service why would anyone want to shop somewhere that doesn’t even care about their costumers, Yall lucky I ain’t sue. The manager and the workers should take the initiative in making sure that their come into the store happy and leave happier and I find it crazy how they don’t care but have the energy to have an attitude, and I know Yall was lying about the camera being down, the manager just didn't want to go and check, he clearly ain't get his daily steps in which he should have being built like a bus. Anyways peace...

Check the dates on everything in this store! The sale prices do not match the register prices! To make it short, go somewhere else! Was brought here to get a few things to make dinner., etc. Thought I was getting a deal on the orange juice but did not realize it expired the day I brought it, which was today! Bet, it is still on sale tomorrow with the same date as today. Meat and produce quality is so so. You have to look at it carefully! When paying for my items had a slight problem. The cashier said something and then started pointing. I had no idea what she was saying. When I asked her what she was saying, she had no idea what I was talking about. They don't thank nor greet customers as well. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else where they appreciate...
