Bravos Cafe — Restaurant in East Orange

My husband took me there after he had experienced their amazing or to quote him "to die for" wings. Mind you he's never used that term before and I've forbidden him to use it again, but...after tasting the--made with love--wings from scratch I have to agree. The cook/chef is originally from Alabama and can "BURN". Oh my goodness her wings were GREAT! I couldn't have the original battered recipe and she made a batter-less version for me, that still had the sauce my husband loved. The the food was very good. I used door dash and its always on time, hot and ready to eat. I only ordered ox tails and nothing else. I was recommend to eat this during a event in NY. I was hooked ever since. The worst experience I had here was burnt cornbread (its not called that but its what it looks like) and there was too much fat on the ox tails. One time, some of the drink leaked a little but nothing crazy. The homemade tea is powerful. Very strong but difficult to drink by itself since its overpowering. Still taste great. I ordered here in error and reached out to the restaurant for them to lie to me about not being able to cancel my order. I must mention I reached out to DoorDash and when they contacted the restaurant so that I could be issued a refund, they proceeded to informing them that my order is completed. $50 gone, fast forward to me contacting the restaurant again to get yelled at by the owner because robbing a customer matters more than the integrity of the establishment.
