Ok - yesterday was my first trip to Restore, after a friend’s recommendation. I live in Hershey, but let me tell you how this has already become my favorite place!!
I’ve been to Cure in Lancaster, and Rise in Steelton - but this place is just AWESOME!
I arrived as a walk in and was immediately greeted by the most friendly staff! NOTE—Restore is owned by a company in Philly, so the Lancaster shop requires masks be worn inside
It took me less than a minute to be registered - and wow! There are so many discounts, one of which you will surely apply to you - a 20% new patient discount was applied to my purchase! There are also discounts for people on SSI; seniors aged 60 and over - even a discount on your birthday!! The store also runs discounts several times a week - check out their website. AND - you can set your debit card up on their website to use at the store - so no irritating “convenience fee” at the ATM (they charge $3, fyi, plus whatever your institution charges.
It took less than three minutes to step inside where I was greeted by CARRIE - wow. Carrie was friendly, knowledgeable, informative, funny, witty - I mean, I knew what I wanted for some things, others I depended on her recommendations. Having tested the products when I got home, let me just say that CARRIE hit it right on the nose. I also was able to purchase a new battery cartridge for $1 - it looks like it’s an homage to PRIDE month! (See Photo below). There was another kind of cartridge on sale for $5, a rainbow, with the refills being $50.
When I went to pay for my items, I asked Carrie for change so I could leave a tip. She informed me they were NOT allowed to accept them - I think she said they run the place more as medicinal, so they don’t take tips.
Not that there is anything wrong with tipping for services rendered - I don’t mind at all. Something about what she said made me think, “WOW - they really care about my well-being.”
I highly recommend you take the time to visit the wonderful folks at RESTORE - you will NOT be...
Read moreNEEDS BETTER STAFF. The only reason Im giving this dispensary a 2 star is because they aren't cure. However I wanted to give these guys a few weeks after opening to leave my review but my experience has been so bad I wouldn't want a fellow patient to go without this knowledge. First the staff does not know anything about their product, the menu has no labeling of strain on it and even the employees are confused. Ive asked about strains and terps used in my products and every time they had so ask a manager. Take disorganization out of equation due to recent opening at bare bones this staff needs to be retrained. Seems like they just hand picked your average Joe from east peat with not prior knowledge of cannabis. Secondly today i rang the doorbell twice and waited outside with my cards up. once the door opened i was greeted with a raised voice employee very defensive telling me it was my fault for being left outside because i didn't press the door bell when i hadn't even complained. This was in front of other patients and staff and has now made me extremely uncomfortable in that building. Although this is the closest dispensary to my house i will only be shopping here for emergencies only. Aside from the door issue this staff needs more training.. Hopefully things...
Read moreNot my first dispensary visit but def my last to Restore. Maybe it's just the location BUT.... Super slow process. Super long line. Just checking out took a massive amount of time, to the point I asked how long they have been open for business (a year!?!?!?!). I've never had a worse experience at a dispensary (have been to 11 in PA) although SunnySide comes in a close second. Sure, if you've got nothing to do in the evening and or don't work, not a bad place to wait for decent product. The employees didn't seem very knowledgeable, only in the most generic of ways (taste and quality of product). I wouldn't feel comfortable asking about specific terpene profiles. While waiting, many others had the same general consensus as the topic of conversation was about the experience and could be over heard. PS. Nothing to do with staffing as you could see a dozen or more people tripping over each other behind the counter, aimlessly opening cabinets searching for what they need. (zero coordination/organization) This place carries the same product as the rest of them, and your experience will be MUCH better, trust...
