WANT TO THANK PLUMBING SUPV JIM AND PLUMBING TECH LAYNE FOR GETTING OUR RINNAI TANKLESS WATER HEATER BACK ONLINE. THE WATER HEATING TANK FAILED AND LEAKED INTO THE FURNACE DRAIN PAN. A NEW WATER HEATING TANK WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BY RINNAI AND SHIPPED OUT FROM THE MANUFACTURER. WHEN IT ARRIVED, IT REQUIRED APPROXIMATLY 5.5 HRS TO REMOVE AND REINSTALL THE NEW WATER TANK HEATER. LANEY WORKED DILIGENTLY FOR THE WHOLE 5.5 HRS. NO PHONE CHATS, NO BATHROOM BREAKS. HE TOOK ABOUT 3MINS TO DRINK SOME WATER. HE WOULD NOT TAKE A SODA OR COFFEE. NEAR THE END A SCREW BROKE OFF IN ONE OF THE COUPLINGS AND HE COULD NOT GET THE BROKEN SCREW OUT. THIS PART HAD TO BE ORDERED AND WE WOULD BE OUT OF HOT WATER UNTIL THURS OF THE FOLLOWING WEEK THIS WAS FRIDAY. THE WIFE WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT TAKING COLD NAVY SHOWERS. BEING A SAILOR IT BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES OF SHIPBOARD LIFE. ENTER JIM, THE PLUMBING SUPV. HE CALLED AND SAID THAT HE WOULD COME OUT ON MONDAY COLUMBUS DAY AND TRY TO GET US TEMPORARILY HOOKED UP UNTIL THE NEW COUPLING ARRIVED. NOW ITS MONDAY AND JIM ARRIVES AND AFTER APPROXIMATLY 3HRS JIM HAS THE SYSTEM UP AND RUNNING TEMPORARILY UNTIL THE NEW COUPLING ARRIVES. ON WED THE NEW COUPLING ARRIVES AND LANEY RETURNS TO INSTALL IT. AFTER ANOTHER 2.5 HRS THE SYSTEM IS UP AND WE HAVE HOT WATER AGAIN. DURING THIS WHOLE ORDEAL EVERYONE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND REALLY WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO GET THIS PROBLEM SOLVED. WHEN I INITIALLY SPOKE WITH JIM HE COULD HAVE JUST AS EASILY SAID YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE PART TO COME IN AND MAN UP. WELL, HE WENT OVER AND ABOVE AND GOT US UP AND RUNNING TEMPORARILY. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY THIS. I DID NOT EXPECT THAT KIND OF PROFESSIONALISM. THE OWNERS OF LANCASTER PLUMBING AND HEATING NEED TO KNOW THAT YOU HAVE SOME OF THE FINEST EMPLOYEES IN THE BUSINESS. WE HAVE BEEN CUSTOMERS OF LP&H FOR THE PAST 12 YRS AND YOU HAVE ALWAYS COME THRU. LAYNE DID A GREAT JOB TAKING APART AND RE-INSTALLING THE NEW HEATING TANK AND SPENDING OVER 5HRS ON HIS KNEES TO DO IT, THANK YOU. JIM THANK YOU FOR GETTING US SOME HOT WATER UNTIL THE NEW COUPLING CAME IN. YOU MADE THE WIFE VERY HAPPY. THE COMPANY NEEDS TO KNOW AND RECOGNIZE YOU BOTH. YOU ARE BOTH A GREAT CREDIT TO YOUR TRADE. THANK YOU AGAIN. ...
Read moreAnother update: The employees are so friendly and helpful. I had some questions and Michelle and Rachel were very pleasant and professional in answering them. In addition, I was very pleased with Traevon, the HVAC tech who came out to check our A/C. He found mold in the ducts where they meet up with the unit, and even took pictures of the mold to show me! He explained how an U-V light would work to eliminate the problem. I told my husband and he readily agreed that the light needed to be installed, so Traevon is coming to our house this afternoon to install it. Traevon was very professional, polite, and thorough when he came to check the unit, and I’m very confident that our mold in the A/C ducts will be resolved after he installs the light.
Update with new addition: Mason came to do our annual inspection of our pipes and drains. He was very prompt, very friendly, and very professional. He discussed the results of his inspection clearly and in layman’s terminology, saying our pipes looked fine. We love LP&H — their employees are awesome! Layne was very professional and very friendly. He worked diligently to resolve our vibrating pipes plumbing issue, and after trying several ideas that were unsuccessful, he called another plumber to discuss the issue. He tried those suggestions, but after they didn’t work either, he suggested that he have one of their master plumbers come to see if he can figure out what is making our pipes vibrate so loudly and so strongly when we use our washing machine. Layne immediately was able to set up an appointment for the master plumber to come on Tuesday to see if he can solve the problem. I was very pleased with the meticulous work Layne did as he was attempting to find the solution. He explained what he was doing and why, answering my questions clearly and patiently. I have complete confidence that they will resolve the problem — even if it turns out that the washer is the problem! Also, Michelle at the office was extremely helpful and friendly when I called with a question prior to my...
Read moreOur aging high velocity central air system failed and we needed a new heating and cooling system in our home. We had several companies come out and give estimates for replacement systems but in the end we selected Lancaster Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electrical (LPHCE) and I am so glad that we did. LPHCE did an excellent job for us from start to finish. Our initial contact Ian supplied us with a wealth of knowledge regarding what our options were moving forward. He took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure to have multiple estimates drawn up before he left our property. He also kindly made himself available via text messaging when we had more questions later regarding our options. The estimate that we received was very fair and I got the sense that LPHCE was going to do everything that they could to secure our business. After considering our options we decided to have mini split heat pumps installed. Ian came out to our property again, this time with installation specialist Rick. They helped us finalize our plans for the installation and directly addressed a few lingering concerns that we still had. A week or so later a well organized installation team made short work of the project over the course of two days. While all of the techs assigned to the job were professional and courteous a special shout out goes to Ben for going up into the attic area and out on the roof to get the job done right. The end result is a system that operates as good as it looks. We are anticipating many comfortable years in our home thanks to the efforts of everyone at LPHCE. We plan to call on them in the future for our heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical needs. I submit this review as a hardy recommendation to try out their services, particularly if you are in the market for a new heating and cooling system. They are family owned and locally operated. Most importantly they cared about doing the job, and they cared about...
