Traveling J's Food Truck — Local services in East Petersburg

We attended a private event where Traveling J’s supplied all of the food. Not being very familiar with Mideastern food, we were very pleased with everything that we ordered. I had the Greek salad with grilled chicken and Chef Justin’s homemade Greek dressing was excellent, with an ever so slight tinge of sweetness! We also split a Greek cheesesteak and the meat, especially, had a delicious flavor. I found out that the Chef had used a homemade marinade for several hours beforehand. It was so tasty! We also enjoyed the warm pita served! Over the past year, food trucks have really been enhanced and popular in the Lancaster area. I have been fortunate to have eaten the food at Traveling J’s on several occasions and the food is continually delicious! You take one bite and it is just bursting with flavor. Having tried several items on the menu, the food is always exceptionally fresh, including his meats, salad and rolls. Got to enjoy his impressive culinary skills while he was parked at Raney Cellars. Everything about the meal was incredible and delicious. I decuded to not choose an item and asked for Justin's recommendation which was the cheesesteak with provolone and I can honestly say it was the best cheesesteak I've ever had. A basic cheesesteak but with his mediterranean twist was surprising and impressive. I also ordered the greek salad which was equally impressive, and my wife ordered the chicken sandwich. In a world with a million versions of chicken sandwiches it was nice to try one that is unique. I wish I could report on how good it was, but my wife only let me have a small piece from the corner. I dont know what magic he puts into his food, but if you get the oppurtunity to try it someday do not hesitate to get in line. Giving 2 stars because the food tasted good,but the service unfortunately was not great. Was at a festival and ordered two items off the menu, noticed many folks in who had ordered after me had gotten their food, and asked if mine would be ready none of the workers responded and I asked again and they didn’t seem to have my order slip, I waited another 10-15 mins and asked again and they had forgotten my order again! I asked the cook if he was going to make my order, finally after waiting for over 30 minutes I finally got my food. I paid close to $40 dollars for my order to be lost twice and to wait 3x’s the amount of time for my food as everyone else. Really disappointed...
