Have you ever walked into a business and received such exceptional customer service that you felt compelled to make a purchase? That was my experience at RAH. Upon entering the store I was warmly greeted by the staff and immediately impressed by the selection of furniture and accessories. I was in the market for a dining table and chairs, but they didn’t have what I was looking for. However, I did find two pictures I loved and a stunning tan velvet sofa. The staff informed me that the delivery time for the pictures and chairs was two weeks, and the delivery fee of $300 which seemed quite high to me I still went ahead and purchased the two pictures and ordered the sofa in cream velvet instead of tan. After completing my purchases, I was told I would receive my receipt via email, which arrived two days later. Two weeks went by, then three, with no updates about my delivery. When I called the store, I was informed that I would receive a call from the delivery coordinator once the items arrived. This left me confused, as I had been promised delivery in two weeks, and now it had been three without any communication. Finally, five weeks later, my delivery arrived. The pictures were just as I had chosen, but the sofa was beige and textured instead of the cream velvet I ordered. I called the store to address this issue, and the representative told me to send pictures so the manager could review it. When the manager called me back, she explained that according to my receipt, the sofa was meant to be textured and that it looked cream to her. She also mentioned that the delay was out of her control, despite my receipt indicating a possible three to four-week delivery window. I found her tone condescending, and I expressed my disappointment, letting her know I wouldn’t be returning as a customer and would leave a negative review. She later called back to inform me of a one-time return policy with a 30% restocking fee. This left me frustrated—now I was expected to pay for the store's mistake? Ultimately, I decided to keep the sofa, even though it was overpriced and not what I wanted, to avoid further hassle. Lesson learned: I will never shop at RAH again, and I cannot recommend...
Read moreI came in an hour before closing and Joy was a joy to work with. She immediately made me feel welcome. She explained the store layout, told me about their NEW warehouse opening soon (can't wait to check it out!) and gave me space to wander around and check out the showroom. Customer service just how I like it - just enough but not too much. I had been researching couches for months determined not to make the same mistake twice. Ordering online is soooo unpredictable - will it be comfortable, what does the fabric look like IRL, how is the workmanship. I was thrilled to find a furniture store where I could see everything in person, sit on it, lay on it (jk, not really, lol) and know for certain what I was getting. This furniture store gem on the southside can have all of my business. Will definitely be back to patronize again. I ordered a 5 piece sectional on a Monday, the following Thursday the warehouse let me know my order was ready. I opted to pick up myself and 8 days after ordering, I have a new couch in my LR. Read moreI LOVE THIS STORE!!! OK DID I SAY I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS STORE! My one stop shop for interior design info, furniture, artwork, lighting and accessories. I love being Rite At Home! As a seasoned interior designer, when sourcing items I find Rite At Home is a great resource for me and my clients as well. I always seem to discover new decor items that inspires me and makes me want to refresh what I already had in mind.
It is such a relief to send the clients “that like to shop” (and there's alot of them out there) to shop with a knowledgeable staff that will recommend the best product that aligns with the total design or they will direct the client back to their designer if need be.
Hats off to Lamont Bynum and his helpful staff for making my design life easier. Let me just say put Rite At Home on your list to stop by for your interior design needs. As you enter the store is warm, welcoming and beautifully designed. Hmm I guess that’s why it's named it RITE AT HOME!
