Asiana Food Market — Local services in East Providence

My son just moved here and needed an Asian market to get his favorite choice of foods. We decided to try this market because of reviews and proximity. It's a keeper! I liked the lay out of the store, simple, easy to navigate. Although not very big it was big on selections and variety of top items most sought after. My son even found 'Natto', an undesirable traditional Japanese food he's been wanting to try after hearing it's history. Of course - steam buns! Yes! Pot stickers too! I found the tapioca balls for bubble tea and raspberry KitKat - I get the good stuff. It's very tiny; the aisles are narrow so navigating your mini shopping cart around the store is quite the challenge but I usually can find what I am looking for. The staff is very helpful and will help you locate items and explain what things are if you cannot read Korean or Japanese. I have been coming to this place for years. It has a very good selection of Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and other Southeast Asian staples as well as snacks, candy, housewares and condiments. They take credit cards. I would recommend coming when they are not so busy because it gets really crowded when there are more than four or five people shopping at the same time. They have a huge selection of noodles and some chips in foriegn flavors like BBQ Cuttlefish. The young man working there is super nice and doesn't mind people exploring and being total tourist over the food. He's also familiar with the hype and YouTube videos surrounding the Fire Noodles!

They have the marble soda, mochi, fish waffle cone ice cream, Pocky, and 3 of the Japanese flavored KitKats; Strawberry, Raspberry, and Matcha, I wish they had the gourmet flavors you bake! Plenty of other gummy candies and frozen goods as well! Make sure you check out the chest freezer that's stocked with ice cream!
