I was very disappointed of my first experience at Stars Performing Arts Academy.
After reading all of the amazimg reviews they have, I decided to sign up for a trial class for my little one. I was expecting to find a caring and nurturing environment where my girl, who loves dancing can thrive but it was definitely quite the opposite! We arrived on time to our trial class( even before time) they gave me a paper to fill up and a lady at the front desk told me to take off my toddler's shoes and "go to the room"
I wasn't sure which room I should take my toddler, it was my first time there so I went next to the room I supposed she will go. We were waiting for more than 20 minutes when I approached to the front desk to ask when the class will start. The woman at the front desk was very very rude with me and was asking me why she didn't went to the room! She kept repeating why my toddler wasn't in the room if I was told to take her shoes and take her there... I explained her that I didn't know where to go, that she didn't specify which room it was and I was expecting someone to call me.
She told me to take of my toddler shoes and socks and guide us to the room all the little girls were practicing, the class was about to finish( they only had 10 minutes left) and of course my two and a half year old little girl didn't want to go inside like a any normal little one wouldn't want to enter a room with strangers suddenly being rushed without any explanation.
The rest of the girls were using ballet shoes and my toddler had clean socks but she made me took them( I am not sure if it part of her policy) This lady explained to my husband and me that no adults were allowed inside and we understood but, my complain was about the way she treated us.
The whole time, she made me feel it was my fault that my toddler missed the trial class, when it was clearly a misscomunication, the fact that they didn't realized a student( even for a trial class) was missing in a class was a big RED FLAG for me, like they don't even know how many kids pers class do they have?
We( my husband, my toddler girl and me) were waiting more than 20 minutes and nobody from the front desks or teachers noticed us?
The polite thing it should have been to acknowledge it was a mistake, nobody check on us or guide us to let us where my toddler had to go and even thought I can understand those things could happen, it was the rudeness of the person of the front desk who made me feel disappointed, she said nothing, not even an apology, not even to offer a solution like trying to reschedule a new trial class or gave us a tour around to show us an explain about the program like she told before by text message...nothing.
I even sent a message after this, explaining everything again and letting the person know what we could go for another trial class if things were better manage because my little one really love dancing but I had cero response.
Respect, courtesy and safety are a big thing for me specially when you work with little ones and the fact they didn't realized my daughter was missing in the classroom and the rude behavior of the person at the front desk was truly a...
Read moreI share my experience here at STARZ PAA 10/10 from start to finish!!!
I was looking for an activity for my daughter and since it is late in the season for dance, i didn't think anyone would get back to me right away. I reached out to STARZ and not even 24 hours later, Lauren answered my inquiry and reached out to me via text. (I LOVE THE TEXT MESSAGE) b/c sometimes I can miss an email and I'm not always looking in my apps.
On this very same day my daughter was in a free trial class and we had signed up for the months Oct-May. My daughter has not stopped talking about dance because she loved it so much. Lastly everyone at the studio is so pleasant to speak to and I appreciate easy sign up and affordable activities!
Cant wait to spend the future of dance here for...
Read moreWe had such a wonderful experience with Starz Dance Academy this year! The entire team does an amazing job, and I especially want to thank Ms. Kristina for her dedication, kindness, and the joy she brings to every class.
Throughout the year, I’ve seen so much growth in my daughter — not just in her dancing, but in her confidence and love for performing. The teachers put so much effort into making every class fun and meaningful.
When I saw my daughter shining on stage during the recital, it brought tears to my eyes. The show was beautifully organized, and every detail reflected how much passion and hard work went into it.
Thank you, Starz, for a magical year and for making my daughter feel like a little star! We’re so excited for...
