New Taste of China — Restaurant in East Rutherford

BUYER BE AWARE!!!!!! We have been loyal customers through several different owners/management since 2008. There have been a couple of incidents in the past which we tolerated but most recently later on a Saturday night, we ordered General Tso's chicken that came very over cooked, stringy and chewy; a $15 item we could not eat. The dumplings weren't all that great either, not like they used to be (we asked for steamed and got them fried). Though we tried to call immediately then, they were closed. We did not realize that, even if we had called the next day, we would have no recourse. When we called on Monday we were offered 2 free egg rolls to compensate since we didn't call the same day. Not good. We offered to bring it back for a full refund, 1/2 hour away from us, and now they won't even give us egg rolls. What's the deal with the coupons they offer but can't make good on inedible food?!!! We won't go back anymore. Not worth it!!!!!!!!! DON'T ORDER FROM HERE OR CLIFTON IF YOU CARE ABOUT QUALITY AND CUSTOMER...

Food is okay at best. At times it's good and other times it tastes old. What's crazier is... I don't even mind that as much as the order being wrong. Then act like its my fault. Make sure you bring exact change if you wanna pay by cash. They delivery man will round up for you change and then wait for a tip. To be honest, I may never order from here again. That's a lot when I've ordered from there for around 5 years -- when I moved to this town. A customer of mine actually told me about a spot in Rutherford on park avenue (I think) that he told me was better. I'll be searching for it to hopefully order...

The place needs new management or close. The food is unbelievably bad. Sad!!! Nothing tastes freshly done, the sources are almost solid, and taste as they take the pre-made bottles from the refrigerator and squeeze them on top of rice and veg. The flavors are awful. I got several hairs on my food. It tastes like old frozen food with catch mixed with soy source (cold and solidified) on top of the meal. I have never reviewed a restaurant negatively. However, I m sure that's the only way to help this specific business. They must learn about Chinese food or close it....
