I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hot Kebabs City, located at 228 Paterson Avenue in East Rutherford, NJ, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the immaculate cleanliness of the restaurant and the bathroom. The ambiance was quiet and peaceful, making it a perfect spot for a family meal or a relaxing dinner. I started my meal with the Hummus, which was creamy and flavorful, a perfect appetizer to set the tone for the rest of the meal. For the main course, I chose the Chicken Adana Kebab, accompanied by lentil soup and a shepherd salad. Every entree was fresh, healthy, and delicious, reflecting the high quality of ingredients and the expertise of the chefs. The Chicken Adana Kebab was particularly outstanding, cooked to perfection with a delightful blend of spices. To round off the meal, I indulged in their Baklava for dessert. It was a delightful treat, perfectly sweet and flaky, a great way to end an excellent meal. The service at Hot Kebabs City was outstanding. Our server was friendly, accommodating, and attentive, ensuring that we felt right at home. The quick and efficient service made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Hot Kebabs City offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious Mediterranean Turkish cuisine, a clean and peaceful environment, and top-notch service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent meal in...
Read moreI usually order from here at least once a week. I usually get the chicken kabab or the lamb kabab. Tonight I wanted to try something different. I called and informed them that I'd place a seamless order. I asked what the lamb chops come with, they told me bulger, rice, pita and white sauce. I place my order, picked it up. When I got home the white sauce was not in the bag. I go back and request it. They refused to give it to me and said it only comes with the meals when it's ordered directly through them and not online. First, that makes no sense. But the worst part is the had an attitude, didn't offer to have me pay for it. Nor did they apologize for the misinformation they provided when I called. I was just looking for some kind of recognition that they understood they misinformed me, instead I was met with attitude. I just paid $25 for a small plate of food, do they think I would have mind to pay $.50 for a sauce? To make matters worst, the lamb was tasteless. Absolutely no flavor, so it really needed the sauce. I usually don't leave bad reviews for small business, even when I'm not satisfied with the food. It was their attitude that cause me to change that and leave...
Read moreWe've been coming here weekly for lunch for a while. Staff is great, very attentive, unobtrusive, and no mistakes in orders. Food is great and comes out pretty fast. Lately I have been getting the kofte platter with red lentil soup, but I've also tried the falafel, gyro, lamb shish, and shepherd salad. Everything is fresh and tasty. Prices are still very reasonable. For the quality, this is one of my top picks anywhere right now.
The ambience is pretty basic, but fine. There is always some Turkish music and/or Turkish shows or movies playing on a TV in the back at low volume. I like the gourd lamps and some of the super huge landscape photos. Everything is always very clean, including the restroom, which gives me more confidence about the kitchen. Seating for large groups is available in the front close to the windows. Otherwise it's all 2-top and 4-top tables along the walls, because the shape of the dining room is long and narrow. It's cozy, but not cramped.
Overall no complaints. Highly...
