I cannot say enough good things about this fantastic local grocery store. I only started shopping here regularly during lockdown when I was doing weekly grocery shopping for my immunocompromised neighbors and they paid for their groceries with Big E gift cards purchased as a fundraiser for their church. Every Wednesday for over a year, I would begin my checkout by telling the cashier "I have 3 separate orders". No one ever sighed deeply or acted annoyed that I was going to be holding up their line, and eventually they'd say "yes, I remember. Not a problem" each week.
The staff is fantastic. These essential workers literally braved a pandemic--touching food and money after the public pawed itāāto make sure the community could still get food and supplies. They may not have the kind of inventory the chain store has, but the stock is varied, the store is super clean, and people are just phenomenally helpful and kind. Oh, and the produce dept, deli, and bakery all deserve extra kudos!! Overall, this local business deserves our continued support.
The only thing I would ask is for them to find a way to source local meat. I've continued to shop here even after I stopped shopping for my neighbors, but we do get our meat at a local butcher now instead because we'd like to support local farmers.

They look at you like what are u doing here you don't belong here our like there facial expression say so much. I always believe that with out customer we don't have business and always belive that if my employees are happy my business will also be to and customer service should always the number one in the list always greet and smile because everyone in this world one way our another they are struggling with something as a person we should always think that we can always help even with the most ridiculous things is always important to be kind and respect each other even if we don't agree with them just respect. Went in to get a bottle of wine as a gift (partially because it was on sale!), but when I got to checkout I was asked if I had a card (I donāt, Iām from a different state), but my friend in the car did (and I know her number). Not only did the cashier cut me off when I was saying I had a friend with a car and asked if I could enter her number to get the account, I tried to ask for the āstore cardā also and was ignored, and I wasnāt offered to sign up for one either.
Instead, I paid $3 more than I had to because I chose the wrong line and a cashier who didnāt care and wasnāt helpful to try and take quality care of visitors to their store. Left me with a salty taste in my mouthā¦. Canāt give the experience 5 stars.
(Iām not sure if the sign even said I had to have a card to get the $8.88 price⦠instead, I paid $11.99 plus tax⦠quite the markup without a card - thanks Big E for making me feel inferior in your store, unappreciated and taken...
