I went to the city hall on the afternoon of April 3 to renew my children's passports. The staff did not collect their old passports. I expressed my doubts and confirmed again and again. Though there are some gaps in communication and the typical bias due to change in the city board every election, the city is planned very well, the code enforcement is apolitical and the services are reliable and timely (solar permits, patio permits etc.) . Yet to see a major problem.
The city sometimes does have some back and forth (and blame shaming) with other service providers who share responsibilities in various other areas for residents such as the JCSD, CNUSD, RCDAS and RPD etc. but they usually end up trying to help the person asking for assistance anyway.
