I had zero idea how to dress myself to start my FNP clinical. I’ve always been a bedside nurse wearing scrubs and I definitely don’t dress up ever so I panicked when my preceptor told me I had to wear business casual. My mom suggested we go to Cato’s. She lives near Eaton so she took me to the one closest to her. When we got there I did what I always do; someone asks me if I need any help and although I desperately probably do, I say “no”. I picked everything that looked good on the manikin or things I liked and they all ended with me either looking frumpy or wearing a parachute. I was becoming very discouraged because nothing was looking good at all. The ladies despite my premature “no” decided to offer again and helped me tremendously. They literally picked my entire wardrobe for my clinical. (lol) and it looked professional. I am so happy my mom took me here.
