Skyline Chili — Restaurant in Eaton

My wife and I were passing through Eaton and remembered how impressed we were with the Skyline the last time we drove through about nine months ago and decided to return. I can’t say how impressed I am with that location! It’s got to be the greatest, all-around skyline in existence! From The moment you walk in, you can tell it’s special! You’re welcomed with a smile, and asked to sit wherever you like. You look around and see most of the tables are full, but that every available table is not only clean and ready to be used, but they also had a beautiful flower in a vase on each. Montana waited on us, and was extremely pleasant, professional, and provided fantastic service. Our food was brought out promptly and was delicious. Fresh drinks were brought to our table before we even asked. The mixture of Christian and country music was wonderful. Restrooms were also clean and attractive. I told the young lady at the checkout counter how impressed I was, and asked if the owner was there (assuming they had to be in order for a team to be that on top of every aspect). She replied. “Oh yes, she’s always working in here. Well, she’s actually not here tonight but she’s around a lot.” I told her that as a fellow business owner, she should be extremely proud of her team, especially in her absence! Never going to see another Penny of mine spent here. Had small 4 way it hardly had any spaghetti, literally if it were a half cup I'd be surprised. So I called to let them know there was a slight issue, so the manager told me that they would have my name and another order for me whenever I returned. I returned and they literally gave me a sampler 4 way. Now, at $8.85 for a product that cost less than $4.00 to create that's not just Ethically and Morally wrong to solve a customer issue the way they did. This is making a much larger statement that food and labor cost are more important than customers. So long Skyline of Eaton Ohio.

So the owners reply has really shocked me. First of all, I was never rude to any of your staff members or manager. Secondly, I apologize for making a mistake on the price. My bad! Finally, I am even more shocked now by owners reply because I've personally experienced the owner being calm and collective and looking out for the customers best interests always, that is until now! Not sure what is going on in your life that you take hearsay as facts but again I've been nothing but polite throughout this unfortunate situation. Unfortunately you the owner are the one being a Jackass...

Thank You to the staff for bringing back a long missed nostalgic memory and some really really really good chili.

I haven't stepped foot in a Skyline restaurant in about 30 years because I moved down to Florida. They don't exist down there. 😥🥺

Since I became an OTR Truck driver, I've been looking for a route that takes me near one.

I landed a lucky route that went by a Wal-Mart that I could get a 75 foot truck into that happened be right next door to a Skyline Chili !!!!!

They've got Skyline Chili in cans and frozen packs at Publix and Wal-Mart where I live but nothing beats the real deal from the real deal.

Saved this location to my favorites so hopefully my OTR adventure brings me back sometime soon. There's a Bob Evan's and a Frisch's nearby that I absolutely must visit again after so many years being MIA. 🤣😅 But without a doubt I will stop by here and stock up on the best Chili I've ever known.

Might even buy a house in Eaton OH just so I don't have to suffer not being able to have my Skyline Chili 🤣
