After running a few errands in Eau Claire I stopped at Walgreen's to pick up two medications that were ready. I went threw the drive thru on the tube station side. I'm not sure the exact time but it's before 1:30 PM probably 1:20. The pharmacy technician asked me for my info and pulled the two bags with our medications in it. She asked for our insurance and since we use GoodRx the information wasn't saved. She sent a piece of paper and pen for me to write the information down and went to help the next car that pulled up.
Once I wrote everything down I placed the paper and my credit card in the tube. I notice they're pulling down the screen of the pharmacy and the tech tells me they are closing for lunch and I would need to come back at 2 PM when they open back up. She recalls the tube with my card in it and I tell her I can't come back at 2 because I live in Cadott and I have frozen food in the car. She apologizes and then puts me on hold. Then the store manager comes over and tells me they have a very strict policy on lunch breaks and they have to go exactly at 1:30 PM. She apologizes and hangs up the phone and sends the tube back with my card.
Defeated I pull away and call my husband to tell him what just happened. He ends up calling the pharmacy back to speak with the store manager who tells him a completely different story. That I pulled up after 1:30 and sent the tube threw without talking to anyone. He then calls the cooperate office and left a voicemail. Mostly because the medications, while not life threatening, are still needed and I shouldn't have been turned away during a transaction and was at the very end of it.
I called the store manager back to explain what really happened and that her story wasn't true. She apologized over and over but reminded me that they have no choice. The pharmacist was gone and that the tech shouldn't have started my transaction knowing how close it was to 1:30. Despite that I still think they should have at least completed mine and turned everyone from that...
Read moreI dropped off a prescription for phenobarbital with the pharmacy It was a disaster from the beginning. A pregnant girl was at the counter, looking like she had " checked out" mentally a long time ago. She was rude to an elderly lady in front of me, then when it was my turn things went from bad to worse. She couldn't find the profile for the person, who owned the dog, and had to enlist help, when the person had prescriptions filled there before, and she said she would call when things were ready. She didn't bother to take my phone number, or end up calling, the other person, on file. The information she " did" enter, was incorrect, and we had to verify information all over again when picking up the prescription later that evening, which we stopped by, on the chance that it was done, because we never got a call. We waited 25 minutes at 9pm, with No one there but us, at that time. . He had to pay full price for the script, and was not told any information about how many pills were there, or anything else. We will be switching back to the Hastings Way Walgreens. They do not have any issues with filing script, in a timely manner, or communication, or customer service, like the Clairmont Ave staff seems to have. We won't be back! Buyer beware, you probably are being billed incorrectly for prescription meds, and if you have more than one insurance company, to bill, Or, have Medicare insurance, you should not be paying for scripts, when you probably are, if they are filled at Clairmont. They bill incorrectly and do not bill multiple insurance companies in the right order, for a zero...
Read moreSon had surgery Friday evening and was released Saturday at about 10am. At the same time he was released, a prescription was sent electronically to this Walgreens location. At around 1130am, I went through the drive-thru and was told it would be a half hour yet. We drove around EC for 45 minutes and went back to Walgreens. I called the automated line & was told to check back in an hour. I proceeded home empty handed. At 155pm, I called again. Again, the automated line told me to check back in an hour. I opted to speak with a representative, she told me it should have been filled by 1030a & was going to transfer me to the pharmacy. The call went to hold music then said good bye and hung up. I called AGAIN, had to go through the automated line AGAIN. Again, I opted to speak to a representative and was passed through to a pharmacy representative. She rudely informed me they were understaffed, unusually busy today & said good bye & HUNG UP ON ME! She didn't even give me a chance to say A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G! I understand that A LOT of establishments are understaffed right now, but that doesn't give you the right to be totally rude and unprofessional to everyone! Service is a complete joke at this location. Would highly recommend going elsewhere for you prescription needs. Maybe less business here will give them some time to readjust...
