My husband ordered my iPhone 15 pro max on the Verizon website and we traded in my very old iPhone 11 Pro Max (this info is relevant to my review). So, when we placed the order on Verizon website it gave us the option to either mail the old phone or drop it off at a Verizon location. We chose the Verizon location as every time I have switched phones I go to any Verizon location and associates help me transfer my data from old phone to new phone I have never had an issue with asking for help and being denied it. So, I went in to the store when my phone arrived it was close to 7 pm and there was a guy there with glasses alone as soon as I stated I needed help transferring my data from one phone to the other he said he couldn’t do it, that I had to do it on my own. He shut me down immediately. Anyways, I bought a case for my phone at their location and left. Went home tried to set up my phone on my own that evening and was unable to (I got all data transferred) unfortunately I had a physical SIM card on my iPhone which I could not convert to eSIM which is the one the iPhone 15 requires now. I was so upset with the new phone because it seemed like it didn’t want to go to sleep when I would click on the “home” button, turns out the case I bought that button does not work properly - I have been to their location a few times to try to return it and it seems like they are never there- so I have not been able to return that. I ended up going to Best Buy and got a new one that works fine. So, back to the eSIM issue- I ended up having to wait until the next day go in to a different Verizon store in St. Louis park as soon as I walked in the employee there was super helpful - verified all my data was transferred properly and converted my physical SIM card to an eSim in less than 3 mins and it took that long because a call came in. I was in and out of that store super fast. Which made me feel like the guy at the Eden prairie location simply didn’t want to help me. Also, when I asked the Eden Prairie location guy about me dropping off my old phone he rudely answered “no you have to mail it in there’s no turning it in at stores” when I asked the same thing to the guy in St. Louis park location he immediately responded “sorry we do not take those here there are only specific stores that do so like the one in ridgedale” I went in to ridgedale a few days ago and the staff there were also very nice and friendly and made my experience fast and pleasant which enforced my theory that the guy in Eden Prairie simply didn’t want to deal with me.
UPDATE: I stopped by again to return the defective case. Same sales rep helped me and was friendly. Made the return super easy. I was in and out with in 5 mins. Perhaps the first time around I caught him at a bad time. I changed my review to a four stars because right after I posted my review the store contacted me within 10 minutes which is crazy because I posted it at 5:30 am. They were very friendly about it and addressed my concerns. Also, gave me an alternative to return item in case I wasn’t comfortable at the Eden Prairie location. That option was nice because it can be awkward having to return something where you felt unwelcome before. They did amazing with follow ups and like I said when I went back they made the return so easy. Wish that case would have worked because it looked great. :( maybe it was a rare defective one but I didn’t want to risk getting the same plus I had already purchase a different one somewhere else. In conclusion I do recommend this store since they address...
Read moreInitially, I had a great review to leave for my service. Jake WAS extremely helpful but he was also extremely keen on adding up my expenses without informing me. I kept asking why the bill was so high and he side-stepped the question ("Oh, it's just taxes and set up fees"). Come to find out, he ADDED a TON of extra equipment I DEFINITELY did NOT need AND did NOT ask for! I realized when I got home and finally found my printed receipt he conveniently folded and put at the bottom of the bag. When I went back a few days later to try to return stuff I encountered the rudest, most unprofessional, misogynistic jerk I have dealt with in a long time. I am not a violent person, but he made me want to jump across the counter and throat punch him. He gave THE WORST "customer service" I have EVER had! Thankfully I was able to return almost $400 worth of unnecessary equipment. However, I was unable to return a few things because the boxes were conveniently thrown away on the day I got my new phones; namely, $50 (FIFTY DOLLAR!!!!) each phone cases, which I HAD NO IDEA WERE SO EXPENSIVE! I would have NEVER bought them! All I wanted from the person working the day of my return was a little bit of listening, maybe some understanding, and an apology (no matter if it would have been insincere). Instead, he blamed me, talked over me, and would not listen. I think because he was alone in the store, he thought he could treat me with distain and disrespect. Not only do I NOT recommend this store, I would also add to make sure you check your receipts VERY carefully and tbh, NEVER go to Verizon retailer stores! Only ever go to a corporate store. Retail store employees, particularly Wagner Way in EP, are not Verizon trained employees and are definitely not trained in customer service. DO NOT GO TO...
Read moreI chose this location because I read the reviews and thought that I would walk into a situation where I would get the information I needed to make an informed decision. I made an appt the day I went but it was totally dead on a Saturday when I got there, so perhaps if you make a decision to go, just drop in. The worker was friendly when I walked in and called me over to get the process started on why I was there. He pulled up my account and then threw out a number at me as if I was supposed to know what he was talking about. I asked for clarification which he then filled in with the necessary information. He said I would have to change my plan, then he suggested I change the plan on my other phones. Again, I asked what the difference was in terms of the plans and he said the price difference. I kept asking to have him clarify as he wasn't really giving me information just numbers and possible savings, great! I like to save money but I want to know what the change in plan looks like. Every time I would ask for clarification he would shoot a look at his colleague smirking to the point where I asked why he was doing that. At that point, I was done and just didn't have the vibe to stay and spend (or save!) my money there. Based on reviews, it seems that perhaps my situation may have been in the minority, but wanted to share...
