Routinely horrible service. NEVER ORDER ONLINE!! If you order ahead with the app, your food is guaranteed to not be ready at the estimated pickup time. They will make it the moment you arrive and show them that you ordered, and not a moment sooner. The teenage staff will likely get your order wrong, so be sure to double check. Managenent will not provide an explanation (other than "I don't know" and "it didn't show up") as to why your order wasn't ready when you arrived, and will also not compensate you in any way unlike how another establishment might give you a coupon or voucher for messing up your order or wasting your time.
Drive-thru experience is also terrible. Extremely slow service, employees who will stare at you instead of greeting or verifying your order, or announcing your total for your order, and the building itself is not designed correctly to handle drive thru. You will need to swing outwards before turning the corner after the speakerbox or else you'll be too far away from the window. Nothing will tell you that you will need to do that, by the way. No cones or lines on the pavement, nothing.
The quality of the food is standard, comparable to other DQ locations. In my latest order the gravy dipping sauce was extremely thick due to a lack of water content within the gravy, which means that it was cooked for too long or left out for too long. In the order previous to this one, it took them an extremely long time to give me my food at the window. I had ordered ahead with the app and watched them make my food at the window. I had to go through the drive through because the dining area was closed. They hadn't even started when I was said I had an order at the speaker, in a slow moving line of cars. An extremely young employee handed me one part of my order, and when I asked where the other part of it was, they swore under their breath and sheepishly asked if I was okay without it. Considering it was a 5 dollar side of cheese curds, I wasn't, and I had to wait even longer as the first part of my order cooled off in my car. I asked to speak with the manager as well, and after speaking with them and showing them how the app said my food should have been ready 20 minutes ago, I wasn't compensated at all.
In the order before that one, they had given me 3x the food I had ordered, which was likely someone else's order. And in the order before that one, furthest one I can remember, they gave me my drink with a piece of plastic wrap instead of a lid.
Don't order at...
Read moreI entered and there were 2 people in front of me, before I ordered. It took 10 minutes for them to order 2 mini blizzards, and me to order 2 large blizzards. Then I waited for 20 minutes before they started making my order. Total, I waited 30 minutes for what would have taken every other DQ about 10 minutes total. There were many unhappy customers waiting after me, and before. The drive through was backed up around the building and into the road. The drive through was served faster than the inside customers. I watched the cars go through and saw the last car pass through and get their order, and drove away before I was served. The lady that ran the drive through was faster and constantly moving. The guy who made the inside orders was extremely slow. He would look at the screen from the order, then stand there and look some more. Then walk slowly over to make something. Then after it was done, stare at the screen again for the next order. It took him a few minutes to get 2 dipped cones made. I normally don't say bad things, but this was a very bad customer experience. I looked at the customers keep getting frustrated. After the guy would put the ice cream treats on the counter, he wouldn't say anything about what number or if it was done, or what kind it was. People were bringing their receipts up to him asking if it was their order, and he had no idea. A lady said she was #5 and asked what that order was, and said it was taking so long. He has no idea, and asked someone else what number HIS order that eh fulfilled was.
Normally, DQ restaurants are known for having fast workers, but this was shockingly slow. If it had been my 1st experience with DQ, I would not be going back. However, I know DQ is amazing flavor, so I will just go to other locations.
When I walked out, someone held the door for me, and said oh it's way faster to go inside rather than the long line of cars outside. I said expect to wait well over 30 minutes for your order. After I got my order, there were 8-10 more separate customers/families waiting to order.
This is abnormal that I have a bad thing to say, because I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but this was very bad for the DQ brand.
The food quality and flavor was on point with DQ, but the service is what ruined...
Read moreThe worst fast food experience I have ever had. It started off with terrible and slow customer service from the drive through order taker. Took so long to get on the Mic and I had to repeat my order so many times. My order was a chocolate blizzard with m&ms. I get to the window to pay. It took the guy five minutes to figure out how Apple Pay works. Eventually, he gets it to work and brings me vanilla ice cream out. I respectfully tell him I order chocolate ice cream. He then asks me 5 different times if I wanted chocolate syrup or ice cream. I responded ice cream each time. Ten minutes later they bring out my blizzard. The blizzard looked normal but had a weird smell to it. As I’m driving away I take a bite and throw it up immediately. The ice cream was experienced it was the sourest cheesiest most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. I return to DairyQueen immediately just to be greeted by Playing the victim card by saying I ordered incorrectly. I then sternly explain to her that I ordered correctly, and my receipt is correct, and they gave me expired food. The assistant manager then comes over and tries to calm the situation down and tell me he would give me a refund. And asked if I wanted vanilla I explained to him that it ruined my appetite and would like some other form of compensation. Him and this lady then started playing the victim card. They said it was all the machines fault and they didn’t do anything. I then again explained to them they served me expired ice cream. The manager said he would call his “general manager” who told him they were low on money so he couldn’t give me a gift card or coupon. The assistant manager then explained he was going to write my name on the receipt, and next time I came in he was going to give me a free blizzard. I then told him I would never come back to the Dairy Queen, and wanted some other form of compensation. He kept refusing so I had enough and left the establishment. I have had an upset stomach all day from this terrible Dairy...
