Dear U-Haul,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a recent experience I had with one of your employees, Denise at location 4285. I found her to be extremely disrespectful and rude, which greatly detracted from the overall service experience. In the midst of expressing my issue, she decided to start screaming at me over the phone and my coworkers got to hear the animal that you unfortunately cannot tame at 9 in the morning.
Moreover, the truck we were provided with was not up to the safety standards I would expect from a reputable company like U-Haul. It is concerning to think that such an unsafe vehicle was allowed to be rented out to customers.
To add insult to injury, we were charged a cleaning fee upon returning the truck in the same condition we received it. This is not only unfair but also questions the integrity of this Uhaul location.
I would also like to mention that the level of professionalism and fitness of your employees seems to be lacking. Comparatively, I have found that even fast food establishments like McDonald's have better fit and more courteous employees.
This is not the kind of environment that encourages trust or repeat business.
It is evident that Denise has been in her position for a considerable amount of time, and it seems to have resulted in a negative impact on her attitude towards her job and customers. The air of misery around her was palpable and made our interaction extremely uncomfortable.
I believe that it would be in the best interest of your company and your customers if Denise were to consider other career options where her attitude might be better suited if cannot be more or less tamed.
I hope that U-Haul takes this feedback seriously and implements necessary changes to improve the customer experience. No customer should have to endure such a negative experience.

This was an absolute nightmare of an experience. I rented a U-Haul to move only three televisions from Best Buy and returned it after hours at 7 PM on a Sunday. Days later, I was hit with a bogus $25 cleaning fee for a supposedly “dusty” truck—an outright scam, considering how little I transported.
It’s clear this location preys on after-hours returns, knowing customers aren’t there to dispute fraudulent charges. And when I tried to address the issue, the staff was shockingly unprofessional and dismissive, refusing to take any accountability. This isn’t just bad service—it’s a blatant rip-off.

They're willing to go the extra mile to be sure that you've got the right vehicle and equipment to do what you need to get your tasks completed.. They explain the process without pressuring you into doing something that you don't need to do.. They also have a type of flea market in their building as well..
