I have been going here since I was 12 and I won’t be back after today. I went in to get a flu test because Ive hade a 101+ degree fever for the past 3 days. Knowing this one of their staff members who was working at the desks called me up after I checked in. I recently switched insurances and have two cards one for dental and one is for medical, but both are under the same plan. I told her I wasn’t sure which was which. She then took an incredibly rude tone with me and told me to “figure it out”. Every other time I have been to this place they have been able to look up my insurance plan have been helpful figuring stuff like this out. She then tried to force me to call my mom after I repeatedly told her I wasn’t able to. I had been to the dentist a few days ago and remembered that they said one of the cards was my medical card. I tried handing her that one and said “I’m pretty sure this is the right one” she responded (again in an incredibly rude tone) with “Well you need to be sure because if you’re wrong you’re making me commit insurance fraud.” At this point I was on the verge of tears because of how she was talking to me. I tried contacting my mom but she didn’t answer as expected. She continued to stare at me until I finally told her I would just go somewhere else. They were the closet to our location at that point in time so we went she had the procedure done and paid her copayment.
Receive a bill for after hours/weekend care on it? They were open for business there was NO discussion about any additional charge so called the billing department and they had no clue so called the office and spoke with the lady that performed the procedure. After explaining everything to her she agreed that shouldn't have been charged told us not to worry about it.
Today I receive a letter from a collections agency for the balance and neither the collection agency not the billing department of Heritage Valley are open on Saturday.
I'm going to waste more value timewise than the bill is worth but it is the principal of the thing in my mind.
Rating could change if they make any effort towards remedying the issue as the office where treatment was received had very nice...
Read moreWent for lower back pain. Wrote a script for a muscle relaxer which is exactly what I wanted. Was not looking for pain meds. I advised the meds I was on. After I left the pharmacy let them know there was and interaction so would be best to not use that one. I was called and told this. When I asked if they could prescribe another one she just told me I would be fine and to keep taking ibuprofen. Gee, thanks. I already told you that Ive been taking it without relief. Complete waste of money & absolutely no care in the world that I was in pain....
