I’ve been going to get my dogs nails clipped at the Woodbridge location and have NEVER had an issue with taking him in or the groomers letting me know how he did. I’ve taken him to this location only 3 times and there is now an issue. His first visit was fine but the second visit I was told he did well on 3 of his paws but had to be held with another person to do his last paw because he wasn’t letting them. I found it weird since I’ve ONLY ever been told that he does perfectly fine but I brushed it off.
I will NO LONGER be going to any PetSmart grooming services after my last visit. It was the first time my dog did not want to be taken in and I had to push him as they were taking him, he’s ALWAYS just walked inside when taken without ANY issue. Got the same thing mentioned where he allowed them to do 3 paws fine but the last one he was FLIPPING OUT I could hear him barking and screaming as I was getting things from the store and then when I get to the front to pay I glance over and see two groomers fighting to force his last few nails to get cut. We’re talking about a 36 pound French bulldog, I have no clue how they would handle a big dog over 75 pounds if this is how they handle a frenchie. I have NEVER heard my dog flip out like that and he has NEVER given groomers an issue until now. I’m convinced they treated him poorly or hurt him and he his traumatized from it.

Read moreVery bed experience. I bought my dog for the appointment which I made 2 days ago. When I was there, they told me my dog was wheezing. Then they opened my dog’s mouth to check his tone. My dog didn’t bark or growl. They wouldn’t let me and my daughter stay there for waiting . They told me they would call or email me if they couldn’t do grooming to my dog. During almost an hour, I didn’t get any phone call and email. I came back and they told me they couldn’t get me and they sent my dog to Garden State Veterinary. That’s place cost 20 mins driving. They made mistake to put my cellphone start at 914 which should be 917. By the way, I never heard whose cellphone number start at 914 in NJ or New York. And they wrote wrong email address to show me they couldn’t get me through email neither. I was so worry about my dog. He is my family. He came with me to a strange place and then he was sent to another strange place. When I rushed to the Veterinary. They wanted me to sign the register paper and told me they treated my dog with oxygen. I refused to pay them because my dog just get examined 2 weeks ago with his vet. He has no problems. How funny it was! Only 2 mins later, 3 cops arrived. They were on the Veterinary’s side. I asked them why Petsmart could sent me confirmation of my appointment 2 days ago and they couldn’t send Email to me today. Cops couldn’t explain it. Read moreThis time my experience with Edison Petsmart grooming saloon was horrible. I am a valued customer of this store for almost last 3 years. I bring my GSD here for grooming / nail cutting/ trimming. Never had any problem and neither did anyone complained on my face for my Dog’s behavior. He is super friendly with both Human and Non human. Today while checking out , his paw was bloody and the blood was full on running dripping all over the floor. They cut the quick and absolutely there was no sympathy or apologies. All over excuses on my dog’s behavior. They are very keen to tell me how my dog was anxious ( I don’t know what they expect from a dog when you try to bath or brush or use dryer on them) but never ever mentioned initially when I was there to pick him up about the bloody nail. Only telling me at the last when they brought him. Didn’t even bother to tell over phone what they have done to the poor guy. Very very upset and completely frustrated. The lady at front desk was rude. THIS IS MY LAST SERVICE with Edison Grooming saloon. They also charged me additional money as Special Handling. They didn't even bother to let me know about that. I found out while checking bills. Is this special handling? Cutting your pets paw?
