Edit: problem solved! Love this store!!!
Three times now I've placed an online order for pickup asap and it's ready 5-10 minutes ahead of the estimated time. Awesome, so far so good.
Then I walk into the store, make eye contact with 2-3 employees as they clearly hear me state my name and that I'm there to pick up an order. I walk to the pickup area and wait as they finish what they're working on - I get it, I've worked food jobs, you're always in the middle of something.
The problem arrives when multiple employees finish what they're doing or who they're helping, walk right past me and the food 6 feet away from me that just needs to be handed to me. Literally, they all walk by and look at me like I'm some freak just standing in their lobby for no apparent reason.
I don't mean this to be an insult, but I genuinely don't know if they're simply untrained or they're all literally on the spectrum and struggle recognizing social cues.
Great food, great company, but if I have to sit in an empty restaurant at the pickup register as I stare at my food getting colder and fight the urge to go full "hangry Karen" mode by grabbing the food myself and screaming "IT LITERALLY TAKES ONE SECOND YOU $%&#*!!!"
If this pattern is broken the 4th time I go then I'll change this to 5 stars. But if it's weeks or months later and it's still 3 stars then remember: I warned you!
But seriously - to the manager: please train employees to serve pickups within a minute or two. I love panda, it hurts leaving anything less than 5 stars and I'd like to...
Read moreThe new manager at Edmonds location Ryan, is unprofessional and stupid. He picks on minors, speaks down on them and humiliates them in front of customers and staff. He was approached and corrected by different customers about what he says to the staff. He is be demoted or fired. My daughter is a Black girl and he calls her names like LaKeisha and other names that are not her names. He might think it is funny but it is not. Because my daughter is a minor she can not work closing shifts or at least when she gets a car. This was already agreed she started many months before he came. He cut her hours to 10 and told her since she wont work closing hours she wont be working any more hours. Previous days she had planned off, he scheduled her and once was during school hours. He knew she was in high school at the time. He inappropriately plays with staff and physical touches them as well by poking their bodies. Staff is scared to say anything for he is the kind to retaliate. Obviously corporate is okay with is behaviors since they have done nothing about it. Simply, my daughter should find another job, where she will be treated with respect, called by the name I gave her and not be humiliated in...
Read moreI don’t usually like to complain, and if it’s a one time thing I understand mistakes happen. I go to this location on my lunch break due to convenience, I have had to wait for food to be done almost everyday I go there despite being there 30 minutes after they open. This wouldn’t be a problem except for the fact that twice I waited on food to be done and they handed my food to me just to find out once I get back to work half my order is missing. So after waiting 10-15 mins on my 30 min lunch break after being told by the employee that’s it’s only be 4-6 mins and then getting the order wrong is ridiculous. I will never be back to this location which is disappointing due to the fact I like Panda Express and it’s convenient from my work. Again one or two mistakes is understandable, but for it to continue is problem. I’d like to point out that the obviously newer employees were much more honest with wait times...
