Walgreens is a very poorly run company, and this is an especially poorly run location. I can only assume it's due to incompetence on management's part, as I've been using this Walgreens for over 2 years, and for that entire time they've been understaffed.
The employees, for the most part, are friendly and good at their jobs. The problem isn't with them.
At the corporate level of Walgreens in general, their website doesn't work. Prescriptions status is often not correct. You're also supposed to receive an email and text message when your Rx is ready, but I've never received one.
Prescriptions are always late. It's usually not possible to get one filled the same day.
As I said, the website isn't reliable, so you have to call in to see if your Rx is ready. Usually I'm on hold for at least half an hour.
When I go in to the store, I will often stand at the Rx counter for 10 minutes or more, with people lining up behind me, before I see any sign of an employee. Often the Rx isn't ready (if I didn't call first, or sometimes even if I did). I then have to wait at least half an hour in the store until it's ready.
Getting vaccinations is just as bad. Despite making appointments weeks ahead of time, and despite often being the only patient there, I always have to wait at least 15-30 minutes after my appointment time.
This store really needs new management. I feel sorry for the poor employees, as they often have to deal with disgruntled customers (for good reason). These problems can all be placed at the feet of management and the executives of the company, not the poor employees, who are just doing their best. And who can blame them for quitting?
Today I called to check on a prescription I put in 2 weeks ago that they still haven't filled. I've been on hold for 45 minutes, and I'm...

No one can understand how badly we are treated just because we found ourselves without a place to live anymore for one reason or another, for myself I recently became a widow and wasn't able to afford our rent by myself.....and after trying to find a suitable roommate without any luck time was up and not able to humble myself and ask my only living family for help and/or a place to stay I naively thought then it would be okay I would find space in a shelter pretty quickly but to my stupidity I found that not to be true here I am 9 months later still outside don't know why I had to explain all that but hopefully sharing my story can help ppl to have more compassion and less judgement and disgust for us out here. There have been 2 many days of struggle despair and loneliness wearing me down and going into Walgreens to get something to eat and i come across person after person after person who has the same look of complete disgust and what looks like them saying they wish we didn't have to share the same planet....and those looks....some days even just one look is enuf to have me feeling like the best thing I can do is to end my life and do the world a favor. So please remember that everyone's going through something and a lil kindness compassion and understanding goes a long way....it could be what helps save a life....like these guys working here. Their kindness has been just what I needed to not feel so hopeless. THANK YOU SO VERY...
Read moreMy early 20âs son is terminally ill with 6-18 months estimated per his oncologist at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. He ran out of Oxycodone so his oncologist called in an order to this Walgreens. The staff and pharmacist refused to fill the prescription. He did become upset as he was in pain and last thing he wanted to do was deal with their attitude and discrimination towards him. I called and they said the only way they would dispense the oxy would be if the doctor called and then his mom or I pick it up. Neither of us were in the area and it would be hours before she could get it. Doctor called it in to a different pharmacy and my son went to pick it up. That pharmacist for whatever reason had to call Walgreens for information and Walgreens tried to talk this pharmacist out of dispensing the oxy. Thankfully this new pharmacist had enough intelligence to understand the situation and dispensed the oxy to him. I would definitely not ever use Walgreens again for any products - to treat a terminally ill military veteran like this is...
