disappointing service. they completely forgot about my order I made over the phone for pick up and when I went there they had nothing ready and told me it would be two minutes to make it and knowing it would not take two minutes to make my meal and when I asked for clarity on how long it would really take they just walked away saying they would ask then never answered my question and when I said I could not stay and just put together my soup order for my daughter and drop my meal which needed to be cooked this still took 5 minutes and when I asked for a discount for the disappointing and stressful experience they said there was nothing they could do, which them simply not caring about me, my time, or my business as I have been a repeat customer. My daughter enjoys their soup but I have not enjoyed ordering food through or my experience with them personally. Not sure if I will be back but will be reluctant to want to order food with them or give them my business following this stressful, slow, and...
Read moreI'm biased in this case. Been going to Chopstics since I was in a high chair (1968). We've never had a bad experience there in all those years. It was our family's go-to joint and the old timers who worked there were amazing (Sam, the waiter and Lippy, the owner we're class acts). The newer location since the demolition of the old one is less old school, but the staff are just as fantastic and the menu hasn't changed one iota in that time. I bet it's one of the few if not the only business in Edmonds under continuous proprietorship for over 50 years. Probably wrong about that, but I can't think of another. They've outlasted every single business in westgate. Robinhood Lanes had been a fixture, but it's gone. The car wash comes close, but I think it changed ownership in the 80s. But I digress. Three cheers...

Service was adequate but not especially friendly. Food itself is pretty much devoid of any flavor. I don't get why places have things that are supposed to be flavorful, i.e., Almond Chicken, Shrimp with Sauce, Chow Mein, Fried Rice, etc. when there is absolutely nothing about any of them that had any flavor.
In fact, the only things that HAD flavor were the WonTon Soup (very mild flavor), the hot tea, and the almond fortune cookie at the end! Food itself is pretty greasy and oily.
There were quite a few people here so others must be ok with the lack of anything outstanding. Just so you know about this non-flavored food restaurant.
Still...
