The other day, I was in the mood for Asian food. I wasn’t picky about what kind of Asian food, I just wanted to use chopsticks to eat rice drenched in soy sauce. I was in Edmonds, headed towards Shoreline, so something on 104 was ideal. I was halfway home when I spotted Teriyaki and More in a little strip of shops on the side of the road. I pulled in, excited to get some tasty food. Parking was a pain. The lot was very small and several trucks had pulled in to narrow the space and cut off the site lines. I saw backup lights come on, so I stopped and waited for the car to pull out. The spot was right outside the door to the restaurant. It was my lucky day. When I went in, I lowered my expectations. The restaurant was cluttered and in bad repair. It was clean though, so I held onto a ray of hope. The menu had all the usual choices. I went for the chicken katsu and pork combo. The kid working the counter handled the transaction efficiently. He was not the most friendly guy, but it felt like he would not get my order wrong. I left the counter to find a table. I was the only customer in the place, so I had my choice. I found a table out of the way and pulled out my phone to doom scroll while I waited. It’s a good thing that the internet is so vast. I had plenty of time to read all the news, check out what my friends were up to, look up a recipe for the avocado that I left ripening at home and order some stuff on Amazon. (Don’t worry Google, you were there with me through the whole adventure). Finally, my food came out. Not bad. The salad looked fresh, the meat was properly cooked and there was a generous heap of rice. I was ready to eat, but I had to get up to grab chopsticks, napkins and soy sauce. I enjoyed the salad and the rice was nice, but the meat was flavorless and chewy. Two out of three I guess. I was full when I finished up. I tidied up the table and headed out. I might go back if the hankering for Teriyaki is strong enough, but I’ll probably keep looking for the...
Read moreDelicious and affordable place not too far from Edmonds downtown. Owners are very friendly and kind, making sure they meet your needs. We wanted to make a take out order for the Kimchi Creamy Udon, and have the udon cooked separately since we were planning to have it the day after. They initially said they never done it before and said it might be difficult, but made an exception and prepared it in a way we needed it hearing that we lived far away. We cooked it the day after, it was delicious!!
We had LA kalbi teriyaki and fried chicken in the restaurant too. Can't go wrong with LA kalbi. We were surprised at the HUGE portion of the fried chickens. One comment is that the Yangnyum fried chicken had more sour taste to it than sweet for our palette (we're Koreans). Wasn't sure if it was just a one-off thing or if that's the taste they prefer.
Saw a lot of people dining in and making take out orders. Would recommend giving a try if you're in the...
Read moreMy mother and I frequent many teriyaki places since I was kid , having grown up in North Seattle and this is our go-to . Great chicken, not rubbery, charred just right ,thick sauce sweet and savory. Their rice is cooked perfectly ,you don't have half you're rice stuck to the box. My 12 yr old son wanted to try there Korean fried chicken so we gave that a shot and were not disappointed. 6 drumsticks and 4 wings for around $15. Huge pieces of crispy garlic and soy fried chicken!! Needless to say it was all devoured and was so good 🤙 definitely a solid choice with anything from this lovely spot. The shop it's self is clean and inviting, cozy and comfortable either for dinning in or waiting on you're order. Easily 5 stars for every aspect. Trying their katsu curry chicken and fish ball appetizer today so I will b e adding to this review, though I am sure it will...
