HORRIFIC. 0-star review. Provided the worst service I have ever received, endangered our lives during a snowstorm, and deserted us at 4:30AM. They refused to refund their service charges and refused to pay any part of the hotel costs that they caused us to incur due to their utter incompetence. I am now forced to sue this company to recover $1300 in expenses I incurred due to their malfeasance.
They arrived late and we left 45 minutes behind schedule. Due to this and an ill-timed stop at the COMPANY-OWNED GAS STATION, we arrived at the Vail Pass at 1:15AM only to find it was closed just 10 minutes prior. We then listened in horror at the radio calls between our driver and the company dispatch office to find they had NO CONTINGENCY PLAN WHATSOEVER. They took us to a gas station at 2:00AM to wait. When we arrived our driver got our car stuck 3 times, requiring us to get out in 4 foot drifts and push the vehicle. After this, our driver took us to Frisco and forced us to find hotel rooms. We learned the next day that we left mere minutes before A GAS LEAK occurred that could have killed us. Upon arriving in Frisco at 3:30AM, we learned they made NO ATTEMPT to find us a hotel and told our driver to have us find one. The 1st hotel told us they did not have enough hotel rooms, and exploited our position by demanding cash. We finally checked into a 2nd hotel at 4:30AM. The company refused to consider any alternate routes. We were forced to stay in a last minute hotel on our own dime. The next day our drivers made us wait around until 12:00, at which point they took us all to a local eatery for lunch at our own expense. We were forced to wait ALL DAY for the Pass to open. At 5PM, we were told they had closed the pass for the night and that we were all responsible for YET ANOTHER NIGHT IN A HOTEL. At this point, several passengers asked them to consider an alternate route which was clearly open and safe. They refused to consider it, and said the ONLY option they would take was the route through the Pass. It became clear that they would not consider the additional fuel costs and their intent was to get us to quit in our attempt to reach Vail. We were forced to hire a private driver to take us to the alternate route. We finally arrived in Vail after nearly 24 hours. EVERY PASSENGER HAD TO ABANDON THESE DRIVERS DUE TO THEIR SHEER INCOMPETENCE. I requested reimbursement for our costs and they refused to consider any of these, after ignoring my requests for a month. I now have to file a claim against them to try and at least recoup some of the costs. Epic Mountain Express is beyond incompetent; they are downright reckless. The mere fact that they had NO CONTINGENCY PLAN FOR A SNOWSTORM is evidence enough. They are a despicable company that can neither complete a simple dropoff nor do anything close to "the right thing" for the customers that they so egregiously wronged. You are better...
Read moreWe booked transportation from the Denver airport to beaver Creek and back for Thanksgiving week vacation. When we arrived at the airport we checked in at their desk and asked where we needed to go to meet the van. The man at the front desk said he sent a text message to my phone which said meet at 504. Having never been to this airport I asked which way that was and he said sarcastically "it's in your phone". A simple point in the right direction would have been helpful. We wandered around for 20 minutes and found our way eventually. The ride up was fine. Our driver was fun and pretty knowledgeable considering he was pretty new. The day before we were supposed to leave it snowed 8" and we were worried about our trip back and I called dispatch. We gave them our flight info, our plane left at 5:45 the next day and we were supposed to be picked up at 1245 and the trip took 2 1/2 hours in good conditions plus security, check in, etc. I specifically asked if we should get on an earlier van. The dispatcher said no, they had accounted for busier holiday roads and adverse conditions and we would be fine on our time. The driver did everything he could to get us to the airport as quickly and safely as possible but we we arrived at the airport after our plane took off and missed our flight. Next flight to our destination was 14 hours later. If you choose epic/Colorado express do NOT trust their time, do your own research or you may miss your flight. I do not hold the drivers at fault they were fantastic but the people in the offices are either incompetent or didn't care about our time on purpose.

Read moreI was picked up yesterday in an SUV with lots of room and heated seats. My driver was 15 minutes early and I appreciated her being so timely. What I didn’t know was that we were driving to Frisco to wait for them to come and pick us up and take us to the Denver airport. We waited 45 minutes for the van to pick us up. When the van arrived, it was a tight squeeze and I felt uncomfortable having people sitting so close to me for the long drive to the airport. A passenger on the van I was on was clearly sick, coughing a lot, and blowing her nose constantly and I felt angry that I was exposed to whatever this person had. I feel like if a person is obviously sick they shouldn’t be allowed to ride on a conveyance that is so cramped and so crowded. At this point after waiting for the van, I was very concerned that I was going to make my flight. The driver was skilled, the weather was bad, and I will give him that. We pulled up to the airport and I barely had time to use the bathroom get through security and sprint through the airport to make my flight. I had booked a time for pick up so that I would have time to get to the airport and have lunch, and have a comfortable amount of time to get prepared for my flight. By the time I got to the airport, I was flustered and miserable, and I needed to use the bathroom. Overall, this was a horrible experience and I had a horrible day.
