Mountain Recreation Freedom Park — Attraction in Edwards

Review for families with kids!

We've been visitors of this park for years, and it's never been bad or in disrepair. Yet, over the winter months, they pulled all the old equipment, replacing it with new, and it's BETTER than before. It you visited this park last summer, you won't recognize it –for the better.

There is a thoughtful separation of equipment between toddlers and kids 6+; truly fun for all ages. There are lots of benches for exhausted parents, a mini splash area for the hot days, and always a couple of food...

Great place to get outdoors and enjoy the weather and scenery of the mountains. Walked around the park and the lake on the paved trail. The path isn't overly long but it is well maintained and easy to use. The lake was nice but relatively small. There were public restrooms on site and a playground for kids. Nice area to spend part of your day that connects to...

A gem. Several acres of clean, cut grass park with off-leash dog access. There's a pond in the middle in which dogs can swim (though people can't). It was the perfect thing for my hound, who was stuck in the car for hours. One thing to keep in mind, though: the area is not fenced and there are roads close by -- so best for dogs who work well under control of...
