The entrance is lovely, beautiful front area. I’m visiting on a work trip and heard great things about the hotel. I was looking forward to my stay and having access to a nice restaurant. First impression, the front desk was sitting and I couldn’t even see their face. I was charged more than I was expecting and I asked for a receipt. Then told that Expedia would send me a new invoice and that the hotel charges more than what the website offered…I was a little annoyed, that didn’t make sense. After getting my key and going up to my room, the room smelled like dog urine. The thick smell of a cleaner attempt overpowered my nostrils. It was obvious a dog had been in this room and had multiple accidents. Strike 2. Immediately went online and spoke with Expedia through chat, through Hotels.com app. After the lovely customer service agent looked into the $50 extra charge, I was informed it was a security deposit in case I had any room charges. It was explained that I wouldn’t incur that cost unless I had charges at check out and the extra $50 would be returned to me. Why didn’t the front desk agent just explain that instead of making it seem like there was some sort of bait and switch pricing or hidden pricing going on? That wasn’t the best first impression. Strike 3, I needed to print some things off and I was aware the hotel had a computer and printer available for business use. When I inquired about the business option, I referred to it as the business center, I was greeted with a, “huh?” I then asked to print and was directed to a computer in the corner of the front area. Again, just lack of customer service. EDIT: Hotel is not responsible to restaurant. Forth strike, I went in to the hotel restaurant to grab dinner. Again, so excited to try a menu that served fish and seafood. The waiter seemed a bit miffed and annoyed that I asked to be seated at a table, instead of a bar. I did choose to sit at a 4 person table because I was planning and mapping out my day for my business trip. I had paperwork that I needed to edit. I wanted a space that was big enough that I could spread out my work and enjoy a nice meal. He made a snarky comment, “Oh, so you’re going to take a big table.” I was shocked and taken aback. It was 5:30ish and I was the 3rd person/party using a table. The place was empty besides a few people at the bar. The waiter did not treat me with any kindness or even pretend to wait on me. It was so uncomfortable, but I was exhausted from my 3.3 hour drive in and I just wanted to eat , prepare and go to my room. As the restaurant filled, I noticed the attention and attentiveness the waiter had become with every other patron. I’m not sure what I did, besides maybe take a table that caused him to treat me like I was a hindrance. After paying my tab and leaving a 20% tip, even though it wasn’t deserved I went to my room. The beds aren’t comfortable. One of the beds had a massive dent in the mattress and I had to switch to the other firm bed in the room. The towels are dingy colored, which is off putting. And, the shower gel bottle was out… I really had high hopes for this place and I’m disheartened at the lack of customer service I was given. Honestly, just decency would’ve been nice. Not sure how this place gets such high reviews. If you’re here to just ski and not actually use the hotel for business, I’m sure it will...

One of the maintenance workers even took my laundry to dry it for me and returned it to my room !!! Laundry , hot tub, market , movie theater, shops , rentals , sledding , creek , liquor store, Starbucks, restaurants, cafes all within walking distance. A plus for us since we did not have a vehicle and would have never dreamed of driving in the snow . We arrived after a storm and 10-12 inches had fallen. Manager Chris was so attentive even before I arrived . I was calling from Miami with millions of questions and he was a first rate concierge!!! Even referred me to an airport transfer service “ Steve” from luxury mountain transport . That turned out to be an excellent reliable source ! Steve drove us in from Denver airport in horrible weather ! Picked us up on time for our 8:30 am arrival. Thank you to all the staff at the Inn, the sundry shop in the lobby is a $10 per day credit which was perfect for 5 bottles of water each day , snacks and even detergent . Coffee on site was great. Bagels and muffins to go before ski was just perfect . Shuttle to arrowhead and beaver creek was a great help. Only runs twice in am and twice in Pm. But very convenient. Once you get to “the landing at beaver creek “ you can take the lift there to ski, take the gondola to the Westin for free , then take the wetin shuttle , or free buses right across the street all over .
We also top the green and blue buses to beaver creek village where we skied and had a great time in the Hyatt lobby bar . Director of operations there at the Hyatt was stellar !
You will enjoy this hotel and the convenience , small town vibe, but close enough...
Read moreMy daughter and I flew in for her surgery and stayed at The Inn. Wow, what great customer service! First, Chris was incredible at making sure we had a wheelchair (which I have never been offered at a hotel), he made sure that we had a room for disabilities so that the shower was appropriate for my daughter's needs pre and post op, and he went out of his way to make the hotel more affordable for me since we didn't know we were staying more than a night. Once I found out my daughter had to have surgery and stay for 5 days, Chris didn't even blink at making sure we had what we needed to make it best for us both. Hunter was also great in making sure he worked with Chris to make our accommodations great!
Also, the lobby had a 24/7 coffee bar, which was a huge perk for me. One day there was a puppy adoption going on in the lobby. It was the only thing that got my daughter out of bed after being so sad about surgery. We met so many fun people who were staying there and spent some of our time talking in the lobby with other patrons.
The beds and pillows were so comfortable! I've never slept 11 hours before in any hotel and I did several nights in a row. The rooms were so clean, smelled great and were perfect for our needs.
I am not a breakfast person and I am gluten free but if you like burritos and pastries, it was all there for you to eat!
I truly appreciated how everyone, especially Chris, went out of their way to make things so nice for us. I didn't get to use the hot tub or pool but heard so many people talking about how wonderful it was.
Plus, the Inn is in the best shopping plaza. Great restaurants, bars, grocery store, deli and movie theater all in walking distance. I will stay here again and honestly, it is the only place I will stay...
