Prices tend to be high, but that is part of being an independent grocery store. The recent remodel of the bakery items and hot foods ( especially breakfast items) is a let down. Donuts, danishes, croissants all being separately packaged in single use plastics is a massive step in the wrong direction. Even though I know the breakfast burritos and some of these, these other items aren’t made fresh daily and just reheated their new way for handling these items does not heat them nearly quick enough and this is just gonna get someone sick with food poisoning. Read moreI am sure it is tough to run a local market anywhere these days but it is what it is and it is WAYYYY OVERPRICED... almost joke levels of mark-up on most items. I live here and never have quickly learned to avoid it... we have awesome selections at city market and plan ahead and hit up whole foods/natural grocers when you come back by Frisco.
That's correct I suggest Whole Foods (commonly mocked as Whole Paycheck) as the relatively CHEAP alternative to this village market ripoff.
