A great little shop with a gorgeous selection, but the real beauty is how they host a retreat! Our days in the mountains were perfectly balanced with learning from superstar teacher Patty Lyons, incredible meals made by M+S owner Catherine, hiking with snack-laden llamas through fields of wildflowers, and knitting around the campfire or in the cozy cabin. This is a fabulous knitting store with a huge selection of yarns that are so gorgeous. I love the local yarn dye options as well as tons of cashmere, merino and more in all weights. Catherine and Michelle were very helpful and knowledgeable and I’m super happy with the yarns I chose for my projects. I always try to visit yarn stores when I travel because yarn is my favorite type of souvenir. This store delivered! I will be back. Can’t wait to get the new yarn...

Getting me to write a Google review requires an exceptional experience. Maker + Stitch’s recent hike/knit retreat qualifies in spades. Cathryn, Liza and Patty Lyons (!) are the coolest, nicest, most knowledgeable people in all of KnitTown. If you get the chance to go on a retreat, GO! And in the meantime, visit the shop, support the shop, build community and find out what sparkle Cathryn was knitting up. These women are EXCEPTIONAL humans....
