So I have reason to believe this store steals inventory and even steals from donated goods meant for CASFV.

I have enjoyed shopping here and sell/ donate often as I really support CASFV and what they do in EP. I have been supporting the organization since nursing school. I had a questionable selling experience. I dropped off 4 bags of designer, new with tags, and clothing from my own store to sell, I opted to donate what they didn’t buy.

I received an unusually low buy offer for what I dropped off-which is fine, I mainly sell here because I was under the impression that what they don’t take goes to the greater good. I asked to donate the items , which is what I usually do- but asked if I could have my bags back instead since the buy was so low and the value of the clothing was high so I could go through it before donating.

Weirdly, the manager called me immediately and told me 3/4 bags had already been ā€œdonatedā€, which I find odd since it was just hours between when I had dropped off the bags, and I also found it odd that not all the bags had been donated together…

today when I went in to pick up the 1 bag- one of the employees was wearing one of the sweaters from my bags… I recognized it because it was a return from my online store. It makes me question what exactly happens to these donated items. I probably won’t be selling here anymore and just donate straight to CASFV or charity.

I understand they’re donated items but if the staff are able to take from items that are supposed to be donated to charity that is really unethical and it’s stealing…I mainly shop here based off the principal of recycling and who the organization supports but today really made me question the ethics behind this store. I’m a business owner myself and really support any organization that helps women in need in El Paso- I am curious as to what is going on, I wouldn’t have sold my things here if I knew people were allowed to take from donations.

When I picked up my bag it had a bunch of ā€œdonationā€ stickers on it and all the empty bags from my ā€œdonationā€ were shoved in this bag… I have a feeling they stole most of my items and the bag left was the actual donation that was going to go to CASFV…. They bought 29 items, I dropped off about 150; and received back in the bag 10. The 10 were of course the few no name brand or more used items… I am certain this is what they were going to donate.

What’s worse is they let me have a CASFV receipt! Lol. The girl was very apprehensive to give me a receipt too.. IRS, it isn’t me don’t come after me lol. I had friends tell me not go go here that they steal, but holy moly stealing from a women’s shelter’s donated goods is really bad. I hope I can get clarification, though no one would admit to stealing like this.

Don’t sell here, especially anyone with higher volume of clothes- just donate it, at least you know it’s going to a good cause vs going into an employee’s closet or free inventory...

Mixed feelings. Was turned away bc they were practicing "selective buying" due to the fact they had more than they can handle in Men's inventory (Their words. Not mine) Cool. I get it. But when I looked around waiting for a quote, a lot of the shoes were VERY worn, reg XL Tshirts had 90s/2000s print and logos, some sad dad jeans including PacSun size 36, silly print shorts, very ugly logo hats and a full endcap of OBEY tops. Made me wonder if this shop is catered to the skating community? Or had everything nice already been sold? My stuff was all brand new (I review products throughout the year) yet they didnt want to take any? Basically it SEEMS as though they exercised poor judgement when buying previous MEN's items and now they've capped out. I really wish I had taken pictures of some of the MEN's shoes they had out for sale - a lot were very worn. You could tell they had been used on the daily and they still wanted TOP DOLLAR. Ugly worn Kyries for $60?! You can buy them brand new for that price! (Kyrie's aint that nice) All of my shoes were new work and business casual. Nike, Nordstrums, LuluLemon, ColeHaan, GoreTek, Paris and Italian brands. NEW. I wore them all once IN MY LIVING ROOM to write a review. They were still turned away. Dont waste your time and call ahead. Anyway, I ended up donating everything to the Goodwill. Or donate directly to people who rely on needed items. Especially...

I have my doubts about posting this review because they’re just gonna find some excuse, but I’ll just write my experience anyway and not go back to uptown ever again. I have been here twice and both not good experiences, but my sister wanted to sell some of her clothes so i decided i will give it another try. Since the beginning the attitude of the employees was bad, my sister left her clothes and then myself, they said it would take aprox 40 min. We waited in the store and they called my sister so i thought soon they will call me. 20 more min or so passed and nothing so i decided to just stand in the front so they could see me that I was waiting, suddenly they call my name and the girl told me (with a bad attitude) that they had already called my name. When i asked when? She ignored me and kept talking about my items, so i interrupted her and told her when they had called my name? She said a while ago and that i probably didn’t hear them because of the music ( which wasn’t even loud). I turned and asked my sister if she had heard my name and she said no. And she just kept saying it was because of the music maybe. They never called my name, specially after they called my sister i payed close attention and stayed close because i figured i was next. So i spent a total of 1 hour and 20 min or so just to get $10 for 3 items in really good condition. I’ll just won’t waste my time in...

Just got a cute plus sized dress for $2! Looks handmade (in a good way) and hardly worn. Other great things I’ve bought in the past are unused Vans (the picture is after I’ve worn them for five months without washing šŸ™ƒ), Dickie’s workout pants and lots of cute jewelry. Some things are a bit over priced there (especially the new items), but for the most part you get good deals without having to rummage through low-quality clothes, purses, etc. Haven’t tried bringing my own things for cash or store credit yet but I hope they accept some things. Lots of new jewelry that’s not too pricey, and sometimes you catch really good discounts on them once they’re out of season or have been on the shelf for a while. Also love that they mark things down by 50% or more and have special ā€œfill your bagā€ days. There’s not a ton of authentically vintage clothes at the EP locations, but you can find a good amount of retro styles, clothes you could wear for work, casual wear, etc. This place markets to a younger crowd (mostly college ages through 30s) but I honestly think that if you spend some time there, you’ll find something you like (plus whoever says you have to dress your age is basic). But I do say all this as a woman with casual, sometimes girly and quirky taste. Can’t speak for everyone.

1st of all don't assume any business will pay you top dollar for your stuff while they have to provide for their staff, rent, and all the related overhead to running a business. If you have recent trendy items that are not missing buttons, have holes, or broken zippers, they Might Be interested in offering a small fraction of what the original value. That's how these businesses can afford to stay afloat. On my visit, they had some of the friendliest staff in El Paso and overall variety of merchandise was pretty cool. Majority of the store is women's product including all types of tops, bottoms, shoes, purses, and jewellery. Honestly not much selection for guys but this shop has plenty of potential and inventory will vary each visit. Good luck if you're selling our shopping.

Starting with the good, I like the great selection of brands. However, because they are good brands and the prices are on the high end for a 2nd hand store, expectations are higher! Your tagging system it's really bad. You use these thick plastic tags for the price labels that damages the clothes and leave huge holes on them. Also you put these 2 inch round security tags on them as well that also leave holes on the clothing. This does not only damage the clothes we just bought but creates a huge inconvinience for people, because we have to go back and return them.
