It’s the worst airlines ever . We purchased tickets from Alexandria to Los Angeles for 5 persons 2 adults and 3 children . Our first flight to Istanbul as a transit was delayed 45 mins and we had to run all over Istanbul Airport which is big and wide and we aren’t young to run like this my legs and feet were shaking to catch our second flight. And the minute we arrived it closed . What if we didn’t caught it we would now paying 195 per person if any one answered you or give your complaint any importance . Second they denied boarding us in the return trip after standing 3 hours in the big line to check in they were so mean and rude to us they aren’t helpful at all so rude . They wanted us to pay 80 dollars for each bag and it was 10 bags total of 720 $ for just 1 or 1.5 kilos more each bag so they didn’t give a chance to arrange our bags so we accepted to pay the didn’t accept our credit card they want a debit only . They didn’t give us the chance to talk there manager came and told us no time for this the check in is closed and you all won’t get to this flight and left . We begged them to let us as we have 3 children and its our right to enter but no one gives us our rights even they took 2 bags to the flight and we had to wait for 2 hours standing . Imagine you have left the hotel and returned the rented car and you spent your money on vacation and shopping and you have now 10 bags and 3 children in the last day of your trip and the worst airline refused to board you in . I called the hotline 5 times 1st time they told me the system didn’t accept your information (what are you kidding me?!) 2nd they told us go to the Turkish office in Los Angeles airport which we couldn’t find it as its 20 min drive by car . 3rd time they told us your kids information isn’t available on our system!!!! 4th time .no help found they want to charge me 765 $ per person ( more then the price of return ticket i paid in other airlines 500$ per person to return they cost us 2500$ . 5 th time they told us we can’t help you make a feed back on our website or application and send the feed back number to us to see what we can do . We did and send it to them they told us 24 hours for the response. Its now 7 days post the feed back and no answer no help nothing from this company We went to this office to see what they could do. The women there told us it’s office for workers and not for passengers and we can’t help you sorry . What we can do in this situation ??? Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment regarding the check-in experience for my flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Riyadh on November 18, 2024, in Business Class. While I have always appreciated the quality of service Turkish Airlines provides, this recent experience was far below expectations.
Upon arriving at the Business Class check-in counter, I was assisted by a staff member named Andrick, whose behavior was not only unprofessional but also dismissive and rude. Despite having purchased an additional luggage allowance online, he refused to let us check in a bag that was slightly overweight by just 1kg. This rigidity felt unreasonable, especially when another staff member nearby was seen accommodating a passenger by checking in a free bag.
Andrick’s attitude only worsened as the interaction progressed. He frequently left us waiting without any clear explanation, adding to the frustration. When he eventually returned, he informed me that I needed a visa for my destination. I explained that I have a valid residency card, and this is something his colleagues usually verify promptly during check-in. His dismissive response was, “Maybe you didn’t pay attention,” which felt not only unprofessional but also insulting.
After leaving us stranded again, another staff member ultimately stepped in to resolve the matter. While I am grateful for their assistance, the overall experience was one of the worst I have encountered at an airline check-in, let alone in Business Class.
I strongly urge you to provide additional training to your staff on professionalism and customer service etiquette. As a premium class passenger, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. There is no room for rude behavior, especially from those who represent a world-renowned airline like Turkish Airlines.
I hope you will address this matter seriously and provide appropriate feedback on the actions being taken to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future.

Read moreIn short, they run fraudulent activity behind ticketing counters and everyone has their hand together in the pot. When we bought our tickets in the States we noticed a short 1-hour layover time in Istanbul so before the trip, several times, we called Turkish Airlines and the booking agents to ask about the short layover time. Each time they assured us if we were to miss the connecting flight, we would be placed on the next flight for free, as is customary to most Airlines. However, in reality, we, two senior citizens with heart issues, with our heavy load of carry-on luggage, and purchases, had to run around through the huge 2-story terminal, from our arrival gate to two other gates, since they sent us a couple of texts for gate changes, just to arrive 10 minutes before gate closure time. They closed the gate in front of our eyes and did not allow us to get through, since we were not sitting and waiting there earlier, telling us to go to the ticketing booth to get new free tickets for the next flight. This time we dashed out to the ticketing booth and were told since we already had purchased a connecting flight, the next 8-hour flight would be free then they issued us new tickets and receipt for $160 each, saying their system did not allow them to run it free and later the charges will be removed. Once we arrived home they charged our credit card $500 each for the supposedly free connection flight which we had paid already.
