We went to Waltons Island a couple weeks ago when we saw a Sat. morning music meet up. It was a fun excursion, the island was really nice - I remember it from back in the 80's when there were MANY homeless people living on the island. Read moreThis place can be hit or miss. Sometimes I am left alone, sometimes not. Once there was a droid that hovered 20 feet above me for 5 minutes. If not for privacy intrusions- I would rate it a 5. It has great view of Hemmens, Gail Borden Library, and the Chicago Tower. There are stone, wood and metal benches, ample grass and steps to sit or spread a blanket on. Lots fish here. It is nice because people let me play maracas and do yoga here...
