THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR IT TO RESOLVE. If I could give negative stars I would. I ordered a Herman Miller Aegon chair in late January. By the 3rd week in February I still had not received it. At first, I was told to give it time. Then I was told that there was a delay and they could not give me an estimate. Then I was given some excuse having to do with Herman Miller, all replete with links to websites. When I suggested that I had my doubts about the company, I was offered a price reduction to not cancel; but something felt off. I then decided to cancel the order and order the chair elsewhere. I received the ordered chair from another company within 2 days. I cancelled my order with Office Chair @ Work and at first I was told I would receive a refund and then I was told that the refund would be subject to the chair leaving the warehouse. If it left the warehouse my money would not be immediately refunded, said the email. It should be noted that during my prior correspondence I was told that the chair could not have left because of delays. I was issued a refund to my account nearly immediately after telling them that any restocking fee would be unacceptable. And had that been the end of it, I would not be typing this now. Then the return funds were cancelled. I then sent another email with no response. As of today, I followed up, both with a complaint to the payment company that issued payment, refunded and then cancelled the refund and another email to Office Chair @ Work. I am waiting to see if the refund actually finalizes or if it is cancelled again. In the meantime, I got in touch with Herman Miller and was told that Office Chair @ Work is not an authorized seller or reseller of Herman Miller furniture or chairs, which I don't think is stated on the website for Office Chair @ Work, and having been sent a link blaming delays on Herman Miller gave a different impression. I would advise AGAINST buying anything at this company. It is unclear if what you are buying is genuine furniture or some copy. In the event of refunds, they are somewhat if not entirely cagey and I think that every email I have from them is somewhat, if not...
Read moreI ordered a chair from this company that arrived in terrible condition. Scratches, smelled like mold, and I brought it to the company's attention. I was told I could return the chair for a refund. I returned the chair shortly thereafter and requested the refund. They indicated they couldn't refund my credit card and would need to mail a check. I pushed back but ultimately agreed as they offered no other alternative. I waited for the check to arrive and it didn't. I wrote them asking where the check was and they said to wait longer. 3 weeks went by with no check. I emailed them again and they indicated they would send another check. They never provided proof of mailing the check nor did I EVER receive the check. It has now been 8 months since I purchased and returned the chair and have yet to receive payment. I write them emails to each of their publicly listed emails and they no longer respond to my inquiries. This is the least professional company I have EVER worked with. They should...
Read moreTERRIBLE COMPANY! MASSIVE SCAMS! Like several others have said, I too would give negative stars, if possible. I ordered a Herman Miller Aeron chair February 11 (with 5-14 day shipping), and am still waiting for it over two months later. Customer Service has given me the run around time and time again - first saying it was taking 15-30 days, then saying if I wanted the chair I would need to pay for quick ship (another $299!). Most recently I was told it would ship "around April 15" -- but still nothing as of April 17. Additionally, this company seems to only do business by email. The phone number they provide does not connect you with a person; it allows you to leave a voicemail, and then you get an automated text saying to send an email. This has been such a colossal waste of my time. Lesson learned -- if the prices look too good to be true, they're too...
