I went into this establishment today for the first time and I was shock to hear music playing was offensive to women and people of color. It was a song that had not been censored I believe it was by Nicki Minaj and it was full of the N word and the B word.

I spoke to a gentleman at the counter I believe to be the owner he seems to be a kind spirited man and told me he did not understand what the words were which I explain to him how offensive that it was. For that very reason I told him I wasn’t going to purchase anything in his store and I wouldn’t be back. I also told him I thought that it was very Irresponsible of him not to know what was being played in that store. I’m even more amazed by the fact that you can operate a business and not fluently understand English and if it is his choice not to learn the language fluently there should’ve been someone on site back that has the awareness to recognize that this was a problem and I hope he takes the opportunity...

I’ve visited this business once before and since it’s the closest to my home I decided to visit this beauty supply store to pickup some hair dye. The store does have many options but once thing I can say I didn’t like and made me feel uncomfortable was having an employee stand and watch me the whole time I tried to make a decision on what color I wanted. Since she insisted on standing there at the end of the isle I shopped in I asked if she knew anything about hair color and she said no. So I told her I would let her know if I needed her assistance but she still stood there and only moved once I moved to the register which made me feel like a thief and so I didn’t care to buy anything else ( I was their first and only customer in the store). I’ll admit — I may not know everything about hair, and that’s on me. But that doesn’t mean I deserve to be misled. I asked the owner and the hispanic lady multiple times if the extensions would be longer than my natural hair, and they reassured me that they would be. After the install, I got home and realized there was almost no difference. The hair was thin, uneven, and didn’t give the effect I paid for. When I brought this up, I was met with no accountability & not even store credit. Just because I’m not a hair expert doesn’t mean I should be treated like I’m dumb.
