i was told by a reliable source that Manny the Priest likes men and too friendly with the boys. and to add to it, he drinks alcohol a little too much. hanging out at the italian spot down the street a little too much. im writing this to bring awareness, & for the people afraid to speak up. please find it in yourself to speak your truth. ive attended this church since a little kid. i did all my sacraments until confirmation at st marys church and not once did i ever feel safe and secure. ccd was a joke and teachers barely showed up and i figured out why. i hope to confront manny one of these days. i need my cuban brother to either remove himself and do the right thing. you know god will always prevail over evil eventually.
last but not least, I remember finishing my confirmation and wanting to be an assistant to later end up being a teacher teaching reconciliation since the teacher never came back after two times. winging the situation, but doing it with honor and with good purpose. a kid teaching kids. telling my mom that I didn’t wanna go to church and her getting mad at me because I didn’t want to. not having enough courage to tell her why. today was my point of not holding it in anymore. may you all have the day you deserve especially the people who...

This and many similar experiences at this institution made the bullying worse. I learned then and there, that not all churches are welcoming to all people, including children. This one certainly wasn't to me when I...
