Hi everyone,
I want to start by saying this review is based on a first time dining experience at Tequila Bistro on Mother’s Day 2021 for a group of 11.
We arrived in segments and were seated and served drinks promptly. The drinks were very watered down with lots of ice. Ended up having to order doubles with NO ICE to actually get the alcohol we wanted.
The large party room had 2 groups, ours being one of them, the other a group of about 18 people and us of 11. The person serving us was also the bartender for the room so it got busy and we barely saw him. He had someone helping with laying out plates and silverware and clean up.
Once we all got there and began placing our orders, it was a very tedious task as the person serving us was kind of all over the place and would walk away as people were trying to order and return a few minutes later. We finally all ordered. The appetizers came out and those were nice and hot and tasty but very plain and simple. You order sausage on hot plates, you got just sliced sausage on a hot plate to sizzle in front of you.
Once he began bringing out our food, surf and turf, chicken, skirt steak and others. The Lobster was cold and filet ligón from the surf and turf also. As if it were sitting for a period of time before coming to our table which was not far from the kitchen. The skirt steak was good only because of the sauce, the actual meat was chewy and not a good grade of meat.
In all honesty, I will not be coming back to this restaurant at all. The gratuity for a group was automatically included so we couldn’t make adjustments but they would not have gotten what they did otherwise, much less in fact. Horrible service, food was sub par, cold and drinks watered down, this was not at all a good experience for us and our bill was not cheap. They need to hire more help to properly manage large groups and multiple tables while learning how to correctly make a drink.
I hope this helps...

Read moreFirst off, this place is very cozy and cute. As soon as you walk in the hospitality between the bartender and the weight staff is amazing. They have this tomato based topping for the bread and it is amazing. I ordered the short ribs which was on their special and it fell off the bone and it was very rich with flavor. It came with a risotto and the risotto had spinach in it which was also amazing! And it was very creamy and delicious.
For dessert, I couldn't decide between the creme brulee or their mousse cake so I got both. I wasn't a huge fan of the creme brûlée but the mousse cake was amazing and has a vanilla chocolate which I have really seen in mouse which sets it apart from other desserts.
I can't remember the drink I ordered but it also was very fresh and fruity.
I can't wait to come back here during the summer when they have the patio open.
Also, they have parking across the street. Just an FYI, it took me a few times around the block to...
