Been a fan of bourbon since last year, looking for a good liquior store near me and found this gem( binny's des plaines) staff is nice and know's a lot of things, almost twice a week i bought some bottles if not some cigars, until today they drop the stagg jr and eht single barrel, came there early my favorite staff not yet there, so i comeback a little later, i saw him so busy coming back and forth at the back and notice what i'm looking for,so i come into him and approach him but he ignore me at first so i wait for like 20 minutes to notice me,i saw some guys coming and go straight to him and give them their bottles,so i got the time to finally talk to him and ask if they have a stagg or eht and he told me sorry its all gone, and he said the manager is saving some for some very important people, i feel hurt and emotional on that moment. I've been there first, i come back on time but he's just ignoring me. I know it's first come first serve but atleast recognize me or give time to me. Well it is what it is. I just feel bad besides for not getting anything at all is i thought i already made a relationship with my binny's until today. It's all good i'll be back again twice a week and buy some good bourbon. Maybe there's a way that you can just put out your allocated bottles on front of the display and limit 1,first come first serve. Read morePrices are excellent, the place is clean, organized, fantastic assortment of all types of beverages, but the customer service is a mix. Back in April they have special early hours for elders and caught me by surprise, I got there just 10 minutes earlier to the opening for everyone and they would not let me in eventhough the was no shoppers. Today I went for some beers that seem interesting from their marketing emails, found them plus another 5 more and a few bottles of wine, one of them happened to be limited to one per person, but I was hopping to talk to the manager to get two perhaps not hoarding and having a cart with about 150 dollars, and the limited beer was only 7 dollars, she might let it pass. Eh no, I guess the lady that helped me locate the beers at the beginning told her and she came into my cart and just grabbed one of the limited beer to then tell me was just one per customer per day and they only had one case and walked away. If she had discussed in a nicer way I would just continue my shopping as an understanding customer and not gotten upset leaving the cart on the side. For two occasions they have lost my business, every time in a worst manner. I used to get cigars from them, guess what, online you get a better deal, for wines and beers I have been going to Mariano's As it is at the corner, and my visits to them have gone from once a month or once every two months, to a occasionally emergency...
Read moreI normally go to this store is well organized and clean. Some employees are very helpful! But today I had a bad experience the only register lady that was there. Very rude since the beginning I was with my friend and asked for both of our id and we show it to her. Then she asked who was paying, I say I was but my friend end up pulling the card to pay and she got upset. I asked what was the problem? and she call some worker who thinks he owns the store -and started arguing with me. He say both Of us had to show ids which we did that Since the beginning. I don’t think costumers are always right but this time I was. That lady needs to retired or get a new job. And that guys needs to hear the costumer before start arguing.
